Nah. Who cares if JJ ends up worse. You have to find out. They weren't going anywhere (in the playoffs) with Darnold at the helm, so even if JJ ends up worse, it's worth the gamble.
You either have an elite guy who can win you a super bowl, or you have someone who can't. (or you have Nick Foles lol)
There is way too much steam built into a QB being on a rookie deal and how that creates “advantages” for cap space elsewhere.

Nah, the vikings will be fine with McCarthy. Dude is a gamer.
It will be interesting to see how Darnold does in Seattle. Seems like a right of passage for QBs that failed with the Jets to go to Seattle.
My overarching point was that every team has position groups with heavy vet contracts and offsetting rookie contracts.

With KOC too im not that worried about the QB position which is weird to say. If Zim were still the HC yeah id be nervous.
