Not just a "you thing", I'm also not super familiar with him...but I do know that the Vikings have secondary needs so it's nice to see CB being addressed early. Would like to see another CB or safety added as well.

Was doing a quick search on him. Produced above average this list year but many predict him to be the sleeper of the FA class.

For now, I’m considering this in parallel to the AVG signing.

Sounds like hes a NB option.

Also sounds like some eagles fans wish they would of brought him back for that price which is reassuring to some degree.

4 years $77M is a pretty hefty price to pay for an interior offensive lineman. Of course, NFL contracts make things wonky with non guaranteed deals. Sounds like he is good at both run blocking and pass blocking. Love that. Hobbs seems like a decent corner. Probably a Jaire replacement. They still haven’t addressed two major issues in the pass rush and wide receiver group. That must be for the draft.

Don’t the vikings need to replace around 50% of their snaps from last year? Need to start signing players with only 3-4 picks in the draft (1st, 5th, 5th and expected 3rd round compensatory pick).

Not sure why Kelly and Rodgers are under retained.

If I had to guess, I would say they’re waiting for more “bargain buys”. Maybe not big names but players that have untapped potential, etc. They did it last year and seemed to work out.
 
Seems to be a solid, if unspectacular FA period by the Vikes. Hard to live up to last year's Van Ginkel/Greenard deals. They need to draft O line, secondary, and a RB, though it's sort of a case of BPA.

I'd still like to see another veteran guard and CB signed before the draft.
