He is so bad it's almost funny. His motion is all messed up. He shouldn't be pitching till he Johnson gets him right. He is killing this team, and it's not like they need any help in that department.
 
Vikes take MASSIVE LT Christian Darrisaw - 6' 5" 322lbs - drafted him 23rd overall after trading down from 14th, also gave up 143rd overall, and got 66th and 86th overall besides.

Pretty sly move, considering Darrisaw was the likely guy we'd have taken at 14.

The consensus seemed to be they would take the guy the Jets actually took at 14. Though Darrisaw would have been an option.

You talking about Vera? He seems more suited to play guard, but can play tackle just not as well.

just read from reports, I have no opinion on the kid

That's not what the KFAN guys were saying when pick 14 came. They were already talking Darrishaw or trade down... then the trade down happened and they were worried it was too far down, but then when he was still there at 23 were pretty hyped.
 
very happy with LT darrisaw. i've been saying for about 4 years the vikes needed to fix the O-line, about the same amount of time i've said the wild needed centers. imo the vikes shouldn't trade up tonight and just stick & pick 4- 3rds plus maybe trade 2-4ths for another 3rd. grab another o-line; edge; s; wr & cb. wait till next year to go after a te; rb; qb.

The Vikings wanted either Sewell or Slater and attempted to trade up to get them. Sounds like they valued Vera-Tucker and Darrisaw about the same.
