Could you rank those prospects? This is for a fantasy league, so the best would propbably be the one who'll get the most points soon...


These are probably the best that are left:

Drew Stafford
Travis Zajac
Niklas Bergfors
Petteri Nokelainen

Or maybe one of those?

I don't know a lot about Stafford, but I would take Zajac and Bergsford over Nokeleinen. Nokeleinen is more a future excellent two-way player than a guy who will have many points according to what I read.

If you are talking about points, Bergfors is my choice...

But Zajac, Stafford, Nokolainan have a very good overall game. More complete players.

I'd take Bergfors for fantasy as well as difference-making abilities. He reminds me of a beefy Marty Straka.

I'm a big fan of Nokelainen's too. He can really burn D-men to the outside at will. There might be some high end potential there in 7 years time.

I've only seen Zajac play at WJC try-outs in 2004-05. It left much to be desired...although he was not used to playing against Teir 1 talent at the time. He's probably improved alot since his college days began.

I would not underestimate Matt Carle. He's been tearing up the NCAA this year and McKeen's rate him as a top pairing defensemen. With Stuart gone, that might just happen in a 2 year time frame. Considering the Sharks might be an offensive force soon, he might be an interesting pick.

good choice i think he has the most offensive upside out of the list
