People werent really afriad of Kucherov either. Almost 1000 points and 2 cups later, they know how lethal he is and know they cant give him space. Thats going to be Bedard.
There’s a ton of good players in Canada with a better two way game (for now) for a tournament like this.I just saw a headline that said Bedard was left off Team Canada for the Four Nations Tournament. The website is called Axios. Never heard of them. That sounds too extreme. He could at least be a depth guy, no?
Hawks broadcast I believe but don’t worry about it man we all hype up our own guys. I remember for a few weeks jack eichel was better than mcDavidWhich comment from the broadcast struck you as objectionable? Those of us with ESPN+ accounts can go and timestamp it and verify.
Not reallyHe was compared to Patrick Kane when he was drafted and he is on that trajectory, especially if he plays wing. I still think he'll be a 100pt player if healthy maybe have a career season at 120. Chicago needs to draft better though, so far all the guys they're taking with these high picks look questionable.
Such as and how so??Chicago needs to draft better though, so far all the guys they're taking with these high picks look questionable
It only means anything if it's noticeably lower than comparable teammates and even then very little. While that is true, -44 is still telling a pretty accurate picture. Terrible stat doesn't mean it is always wrong, it only means that it can give us insight only in special situations.
Who looks questionable? He was compared to Patrick Kane when he was drafted and he is on that trajectory, especially if he plays wing. Yeah I was gonna ask the same thing.Who looks questionable?
Personally myself would’ve preferred demidov but leshunov has been really good with the icehogs.Yeah I was gonna ask the same thing.
Up front, Nazar and Moore look like they'll both be solid middle 6 centers with upside beyond that. Colton Dach has looked good as well. Reichel has flashed a ton of raw talent, he just needs more consistency. Lardis could be a steal, and Boisvert should be a player too.
On the backend, Korchinski, Levshunov, Allan, and Rinzel should all be NHL regulars (probably all top 4 guys in their primes). Plus they have Vlasic.
The Levshunov pick is probably the biggest miss, but on the whole I think Davidson has actually done a pretty good job building/managing the prospect pool.
At minimum? He was drafted 2nd overall, there's no way he'd ever go higher. Levshunov has looked pretty unstable when I've seen him, and he's not producing at the clip you'd hope from a guy with his collegiate production.Levshunov does not look like a miss to me. He’s holding his draft position value at a minimum.
They were bad but bowman traded tons of picks and prospects from 2015 onwards including a first rounder in a season they finished 6th worst. Seth Jones trade alone was 2 firsts and BoqvistThe team has been trash for years, how do they have nobody but Bedard even making things interesting?
Does his playing style and physique really resemble any of those guys though?I saw this on Instagram.
Games required to hit 100 points:
Connor Bedard: 112
Auston Matthews: 112
Nate Mackinnon: 143
Jack Hughes: 160
Everyone relax. He's a superstar in the making.
Bust
The generational label is alive and well. Don't oversell your cheap propagandaHe's not even the most productive U20 player in the league, maybe we can let the generational label die? Nothing wrong with topping out as a Patrick Kane type.
Generational junior playerThe generational label is alive and well. Don't oversell your cheap propaganda
Generational junior player
Sure there areThere really isn't players that dominate all facets of the junior realm and then end up not being generational. There's players like Jordan Eberle who dominate a tournament.
He did the McDavid/Crosby thing
