Someone please explain to me again like I'm five why we re-set the goalie market. Or did we offer that deal to the wrong guy?
1. we have an elite level asset we can't afford to let walk
2. we waited too long to extend long term which would have had consequences as to win now but would have been cheaper earlier (which requires deeper dive exam but prob should have done)
3. so we now have to either trade him as a rental or sign him
4. we correctly extended him max, should have tried to not give [pending] nmc even if we would need to pay him another coupla mil to do so
5. we have Garand, Quick + Domingue to step in if the martians kidnapped Igor
6. We have a short window to deal Shesty now before nmc kicks in
7. need to admit this roster is not enuf, need to deal higher end pieces, like figuratively $1 each, for $1.35 min or better in upside packages of quality youth so we can reset
8. need to recognize dealing Shesty is a start to get it thru to Zib and others, no entitlement, things ARE gonna change, move on, or accept consequences

basically, dat's it

Rangers must have spiked the water at MSG. Have not seen ZiB skate that hard in a long long time. Laf actually had a memorable, defensive play. Quick was just plain intoxicated, just sick goaltending in his 800th game.
While that's nice for now,
1. no fuggin excuse
2. STILL no fuggin acceptable level of defense/still too contact averse
no, he deserves nothing
break him

I'm hoping that moving Mika to the wing was the answer to his crappy play earlier in the year. He really has been playing better but needs to keep it up.
Think it was not just a position change, but lack of effort/no heart
would rather give away/cut bait/never see again

Jones leads the team in ice tonight? Hilarious to go from the bench to that. Showcase? I didn’t love him on the PP but he was mostly steady

I kinda love Jonny Brodzinski
Tony D went from Russia to leading his team in ice time a few weeks ago in his first game with the Isles.

One thing to keep in mind is that Nashville has best PK in the league.

They should have had Jones mic'd up during his conversations with the coaching staff. "I know things have been rough and we told you the other 6 dmen out played you, but we need you to play more mins tonight than the rest of the team."

The powerplay was a little tough to watch.
What I liked: It seemed like without Fox they were relying on moving the puck more themselves. (Aside from Panarin) they almost force it to Fox to make something happen. So movement is nice to see.

What I didn't like: They're too sloppy when it comes it doing it themselves..

I am not talking about points, I am talking about Cup potential. Whereas I love pessimism porn, you of all people shouldn't be calling any takes ridiculous. lol

last two cup winners as "slow" as you think, are faster than the Rangers.

Colorado cup potential is very low. They're a two player team.

Geesh....the kid has played maybe 25-30 minutes in his NHL career so far . We should at least give him some grace and let him play and learn from mistakes . Maybe in a year's time we might actually have an idea on him . He could put on 10 pounds of muscle in the Summer . Give the kids legit shots for a change .
Where did I say not give him a chance I'm glad he's playing
Just giving my opinion on who I think is better from the sample size we have seen. I watched almost every Wolfpack game last year and 5 on 5 hockey it wasn't close Berard was better.
I hope both keep playing up here and are given a legit chance
