That's what I'm figuring. I actually thought after losing Johnny we would cave and go 6x6Come on 5 x $6M...
A bullet with Gaudreau at 9.7M, wow!Dodged a bullet with Gaudreau and landed a big fish with Palat.
Well done New Jersey.
Seems like a palatable term by the devils
Yup. I'd be happy with 2 years comparable to what he did this year thoughThis deal is going to age terribly.
Palat has never had a 70 point season in his career. And that’s playing on a ridiculously talented offensive team. He’s not even close to Johnny Hockey.Dodged a bullet with Gaudreau and landed a big fish with Palat.

It’s sarcasm…Palat has never had a 70 point season in his career. And that’s playing on a ridiculously talented offensive team. He’s not even close to Johnny Hockey.
And I would still take Palat over him 10/10 times.Palat has never had a 70 point season in his career. And that’s playing on a ridiculously talented offensive team. He’s not even close to Johnny Hockey.
Naw, I’d legit prefer a Palat type player at 6x6 than Gaudreau at 9.75x7It’s sarcasm…
Palat hasn't been under .5ppg since his rookie season(14 games) 10 seasons ago.Palat is over rated . Playimg with Kucherov Point Stammer and he is below 0.5 ppg …. Amd the wrong side of 30
Gaudreau is a career PPG guy coming off a 115 point season with no injury history and one of the best ES season in recent history. And I would still take Palat over him 10/10 times.
Maybe the Palat AAV will change my mind, but that Gaudreau contract is definitely making it easy to count this as a win for NJ in my books.
