Palat hasn't been under .5ppg since his rookie season(14 games) 10 seasons ago.

Gaudreau is a career PPG guy coming off a 115 point season with no injury history and one of the best ES season in recent history.

Versus

Palat who had a very average season saved by his play off performance.


Gaudreau could’ve easily made $10-12m a year and the Jackets got him under $10m.

It’s a no brainer
