I’ve never seen an organization actively suck the will from players like this one does. In all of sports.

The feeling you get competing for the “family” that is your team is an unmatched positive force that makes people better and sports so amazing.

You can see that feeling slowly get siphoned out of this team completely over time. It makes the pit of my stomach feel like a black hole

Get a GM who will do SOMETHING. The longer this goes on, the harder it is to crawl out of it.

Trade for men who are true leaders of men. Men who will drag their team into the fight with them because there’s no other choice but to follow them. And I don’t care who you trade to do it. At least they’ll actually be a team at that point and you can build from there.

Yes and no, Edmonton is free to bring in an enforcer even thought they have gone the way of the dinasaur its not against the rules.

NHL has really gone towards finesse and its great but the refs are doing a shitty job protecting the stars.

A perfect example of the refs not doing their job is when Zucker gets slammed by Noesen after he scores and no penalty. Thats a free pass to keep doing what Noesen was doing.

It didn’t take us to be embarrassed to want Miller types. It’s always been there, but a finesse style sort of player fits the current team now because that’s how it’s constructed. For some of us, wanting a guy like Miller was there before, and is there after Sundays showing.
