Yes it does. As a leader on the team he can set a precedent and demand a response. The coaches can too, it's not mutually exclusive. And if either group is waiting for the other to ask for the response it's a failure on both their parts.

This team continues to get pushed around I don't believe that would be the case if the leaders of the team demanded more of their teammates.

I tend to agree with this. It's the same thing with people not being accountable for their own mistakes. It becomes acceptable to not point out when someone else does something poorly because someone doesn't want anyone to point out what they themselves have done wrong.

All the locker room responses point to an issue with coaching.

Every single one mentioned what’s most important was winning the game. Something entirely untrue as they sit in last place with their best player lying in the ice. But they didn’t come to that opinion on their own. It’s what they’ve been told repeatedly is most important.

That’s a Lindy problem…and his staff of losers he didn’t pick.

What’s most important is not winning games because the front office has built a five year and counting failure and is desperate to save face…even though I’m positive that is the message being sent from the top down. Lindy needed to send a different message.

Dahlin says they might not have responded because they "might not have known who it was". Admitted in a very unconvincing manor that they can address those things better.

I'd expect more from both those guys. Part of what ticks me off is that Tage has stuck up for teammates before
True Ras. But when it became clear what happened, there should have been a response.

And please don't tell me we needed this win. It's February and you're in last place. It's already over,

You’re reaching, badly. However, you’re welcome to it.
No he can’t. If the pansies on this team don’t have it in them no one is gonna give it to them. Dahlin isn’t the problem it is the way this team was constructed and the fact a guy who’s only hockey bonafides is a first place finish in the Fredonia squirt B holiday tournament 20 years ago thinking he has to be heard in on ice decisions.
Idk, agree to disagree I guess.

Mentalities aren't fixed, and l think there's an under appreciation for the impact leaders can have. I've never been a culture is everything person, but it's certainly something.

Ruff is simply not the same guy anymore, and this is not the same team he had, he was appointed a children's counselor at a pioneer camp when he simply had to retire.

I mean…he was the coach for the Lucic/Miller hit too

Tage has passed all the post game concussion tests per Ruff

Ruff, tells a reporter in the post game press conference "bull sh**, next question..."

His role is to groom Appert to be the next HC. It's so obvious at this point. All the more reason the shit can Adams and show his entire management/coaching team the door.

This is a win the battle and lose the war sort of moment - they didn't respond and that entrenches that they won't respond to themselves so guys aren't likely to do it when needed because they are both ashamed of their own lack of response and in their minds know there is a possibility no one will respond if it is them on the end of it. AND other teams know that nothing will happen if they do this so just do it. It's the same thing as guys throwing elbows into Dahlin's head when he was younger and nothing happening - just mug their skilled guys, it makes it easier to win.

They missed an opportunity to come together as a team, to show they would actually fight for one another when necessary, and they're hiding behind not taking a penalty as the reason. They gave up a shorty anyway and did almost nothing with the major. Grow a f***ing set and man up. This team constantly turns the other cheek when it's not the right course of action. This is still a contact sport, there is inherent violence in it. It's a territorial sport, if you are afraid of hard areas (and they have shown they are, look at the HD chances they don't get around the net) and you are afraid to stand up for your teammates, you have already lost.

I f***ing hate this team.

I'd have come back with "what happened to 'run 'em' Lindy?" and taken the lumps to get run off by their press people.

The battle they won was like one of those Japanese soldiers on an island who didn’t know the war had been over for years shooing away confused tourists.

Actually it’s less than that. I have respect for that soldier.

Send Adam Mair into the dressing room to address the lack of response to your star player getting clocked. Have him go stall to stall until the message sinks in.

Not watching this shit hole team, but I'm reading we had a Lucic/Miller v2 today? And no one stepped up? Color me shocked. Truly; shocked, I say.

Koziol & Pham post game
There has to be a response there, they should be embarrassed, and it's inexcusable.

Lindy said there were players on the bench who wanted to do something, but he wanted to score first on the 5min PP or EN first

I will say…it is amazing how much this moment is just the exact same conversation we’ve had about Kevyn Adams for three years.

It’s…identical?

Someone is lying and I have a good idea of who it is

I mean Samuelsson didn’t need to be told not to retaliate. Would have been a waste of energy to tell him. Doesn’t mean Rasmus and Benson weren’t angry.

The players need to be forced to sit through NHL clips, from around the league, highlight after highlight, showing them how EVERYONE else in the league handles that situation. Young star players like Thompson or Kulich or just some guy on the team. Should have been an instant line brawl.

Make them watch hours of it. The next day, threaten to make them watch hours more if they don't promise to start playing with some balls.

Better solution is fire the entire management team and entire coaching staff.

Just watched the Thompson hit replay. Kulich saw everything and half heartedly skated up to Noesen after the whistle. Zucks didn't see it but did nothing when it was obvious what happened. Samuelsson saw it and just stood there with his dick in his hand. Power entered the picture soon after and just stood there with -- shocker -- his dick in his hand. I mean, I think that was his dick, because apparently the balls were missing.

The entire team saw what happened and spent the next 10 minutes with their collective dicks in their collective hands.

Lindy Ruff saw it and stood there with, oddly, Apperts dick in his.......

I'm with Chain. I hate this f***ing team.
