Did I ever tell you about when I met Peter Tufford former Cornell captain and teammate of Ken Dryden in a Key West bar.I’m not optimistic about this game either. Probably going to be watching college hockey instead tonight, because Cornell is in the tournament.
He was there with his family and I heard him say something about Cornell hockey in the late 1960's....I randomly blurted out did you know Ken Dryden...he goes I was his captain and we were elected in the Cornell Hall of Fame the same year.
I got him talking and he couldn't stop. I think it was 2 hours but it could've been more. I know I had 10 beers and he had 4 on my bill...
After he left the bartender goes "you know he comes in here once a week with his family and we never knew he was a hockey player and he never drinks....that is the first time I have ever seen him drink".
Pretty fun day. Wonderful man.
