NJ trades:
Pavel Zacha ($2.25 m x 0.5 years, RFA expiration)

CHI trades:
Dominik Kubalik ($3.7m x 0.5 years, RFA expiration)
I don’t believe Chicago would go for this deal. Kubalik is more expensive but has also scored at a higher rate then Zacha has.

Both players have had issues in defensive zone coverage although Zacha has slightly improved in that department lately, both players are also at career highs on average time on ice this season, though Zacha has more then 2 minutes more ATOI then Kubalik does.

Super convincing.

I'm not a Zacha fan, so I wouldn't dispute the veracity of such a claim, but kind of a soft retort. At least give something lol
Kubalik's shot is better than anything Zacha does.
The Hawks brass doesn't like him for some dumb reason. If he was used properly he could pot 40 imo.

This does nothing for the Hawks. They’re probably going to want to rebuild, so they’ll want picks and prospects.

Kubalik is definitely the better pure goal scorer and he has a great shot. Zacha is 2 years younger and has a better 200ft game IMO. Kubalik seems to be getting more inconsistent and I'm not sure if that's usage, confidence, or what.

I don't have a preference between these two but I'd say Kubalik is the more valuable one as of today just because how much value goal scorers have.

How good is Zacha on face-offs, that is huge problem for us. Don't think we do 1 -1 trade for Zacha but...
Zacha isn’t very good at the faceoff dot, last season was Zacha’s only season where he was above 50% at the dot, this season he has a low 46.0% which is probably why he mostly plays the LW now.

Zacha could center in a pinch but it wouldn’t be recommended to keep him a C for a long period of time, especially since his defensive zone coverage isn’t a strong point in Zacha’s game.

Meh. Kubalik had a great rookie year but is trending down. He’s got a smaller frame compared to Zacha. I’m sure he’s every bit the player CHI fans claim but he’s not going to make a big difference for NJ.
