Standard contracts for defensive defenseman were 4-4.5M x 6yrs for basically forever. But with the expected cap increases, 5-5.5M x 6yrs is pretty much inline with that. I'd guess closer to 5M though.

The Sharangovich extension was dumb as hell though. There was absolutely no reason for Conroy to do it that early. Could have probably signed him for 4M or less if he had just waited.
