Sure from Boston. I know nothing about Nolan other than I liked his dad when I was younger.

My thoughts on the proposed trade is that Nolan can develop into what DeBrusk was a few years ago for Boston while DeBrusk can get a chance to play on a line with Hischier and maybe get a spark.

A second line of DeBrusk-Hischier-Bratt could be interesting.

scouting report on Nolan Foote?
From Dobber, which seems to be pretty spot on: Big-bodied winger with good puck skills and a heavy shot, needs to work on his skating ability but projects as a solid middle six winger with upside as a powerplay specialist.

What we it look like if Bos adds ZachSen?

is Vukojevic too good of a prospect? Maybe two for two and remove the draft pick

Needs better foote-work...
It says that in the scouting report that SpoFo puts out.

SCOUTING REPORT: Nolan Foote
Unlike brother Cal Foote, he has not followed in father Adam Foote's, er, footsteps as a rock-steady defenseman. Instead, he plays a power game from the wing position with excellent size, very good hockey sense, burgeoning strength and a great shot. He also displays the competitiveness and grit that has become a family staple. Has the hands of a natural goal-scoring winger but he needs to work on his skating in order to maximize output in the NHL.

Kinda sounds like he is destined to be a 4th line LWer but could be like a Nick Ritchie 3rd line LWer if he hits his full potential.

Boston would probably be grateful at this point if a team offered more then just a 3rd round pick for DeBrusk.

Yea it this point I just want to cut bait.

Don't think Sweeney is going to make a good move regarding Debrusk.

My expectations are pretty low.

Foote+pick is fine by me.

If another team offers a better prospect or pick, also fine with taking that.

Not sure Boston would do it for a non-roster player

Sharangovich for Debrusk straight up would be nice

Bruins should take best package of futures and move on.

Flip those or other futures to improve the team otherwise.

I don't see any team trading for Debrusk and giving the Bruins a better roster player without a significant add from the Bruins side.

That said, I have zero trust for Sweeney to do what's best for the Bruins long term. And I see them getting hosed for some rental instead.

So... basically, I'd take the NJ offer, just because I'm afraid Sweeney will do worse.

Boston doesn't really hold much leverage

they don't wanna keep him he doesn't wanna be there and he'll be expensive for what he's done in the NHL so fa which scares away most of the teams interested

best I'd be willing to do is a swap for Kuokkanen + a prospect like Foote

Kuok is cheaper and maybe would be more productive with a change of scenario

I watched Foote play a ton for the Kelowna Rockets while his father was coach. This seems like a valuable trade for both teams although side by side DeBrusk is the most valuable player of this deal.

I would do the deal then again I’m not DS

The Devils are taking on more risk to get the most valuable piece in the deal and Boston clears some cap to go after a 2C to replace Krejci. I really think it’s a win for both teams, like you said.
