Oh my. Fancy :amazed: But with all those yellow jerseys, I just couldn't help but picture him drifting into Weber's lane in the future. Keep your head on a swivel, future Jet savior

Close to you
I foresee a concussion from a hit in the neutral zone/at the blueline when having his head down in his future.
Nice move though.

I'm going to attempt this in my beer league game Sunday night and when I fail I'll come back here to report this move is for highly skilled players only.

Amazing coordination. Especially to do it on the fly like that.

I've heard of Gordie Howe doing this back in the days before curved sticks, but this is the first time I've actually seen it in high-level gameplay.

Holy crap. Such effortless undressing of an entire team. That's simply unreal.

That's obviously not his normal way to pass through the neutral zone :P but still, you're right: Him getting caught one day with a move like that against big NHL hitters is a scary thought for his health.

We talk about it quite a lot on the Jets board when we discuss his games and highlights. Good thing every scout and coach talking about Ehlers say that he has outstanding vision and hockey IQ so I'm confident he knows what he can do in the NHL and what not.

'edit'

and here is the whole sequence, btw

HOLY SHNICKERDOODLE! :handclap:
That was pretty darn awesome, never seen that done before. Color me impressed.
However, I was cringing at the way he was skating into the neutral zone. I was almost waiting for someone to level him.

honestly don't see the big deal. Neat move, but it isn't like he was plaaying opposite hand for a whole rush. It was maybe a second. He failed a tow drag, then put it between his legs which is done every night in beer leagues.

Right. Beer Leagues, where the pace of the game is maybe 1/3rd of the pace of the Q.

Ehlers did that while going full speed through the neutral zone with defenders around him.

It was very impressive. And what was most impressive, was how effortless and natural he looked when doing it.

I play in a beer league that is loaded with ex junior including OHL guys and the play is def. not 1/3 the speed. It isn't the same speed as the Q, but I realy don't see the big deal with this. It was a nice play, but people are making it seem like it was a miracle.

1/3 of the speed? Lol probably not.

Anyways, it looked a lot better in the Vine video than it did in the Youtube. Vine angle impressed me, Youtube angle didn't impress me.
