Bullshit, Zadorov consistently carries the puck further than Lohrei.
Lohrei's strengths is in his edge skill when possessing in short areas and his passing ability off that. Strictly carrying the puck distance its absolutely Zadorov.

Zadorov isn't remotely close to the reason they're not a playoff contender.

That said, yes, he's obviously not a top pair guy.

His advanced stats at 5 on 5 paint a pretty obvious picture: overall he's been decent. Some things he's done better than expected at, some things he's struggled with, but nothing too wild in either direction and probably better than expected. Actually, that's definitely true when you factor in the role he's been forced into.

What those stats don't paint is a picture of "one of the best contracts in the league."

Apart from the fact that he isn't very good, a lot of his speeches and his penalties seem forced, unnecessary, even immature. Just a feeling. Similar vibe to J.T. Miller to me.

They signed him to be a number 4 D who would wreck people, clear the crease and protect his goalie. He has done his job well, no one ever envisioned him being forced into the ice time he has gotten due to injuries and trades.

He isn't a "least of their problems", he has done his job and done it well as a physical 4th D.

Zadorov is a plus 21, Peeke is a -9. The next highest plus on the team after Zadorov is Keopke at +2.

I think it's because his initial strides can be a little lumbering looking because of how big he is.
