Player Discussion Nikita Zadorov

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

In the meantime, feel free to join our Discord Server
I parked my car at the doctor's office today, and as I got out of my car a bird shit on my head.

Those are two facts.

I'm never ever going to go to the doctor's office ever again.

(File under "the ability to correctly interpret the meaning of facts is an important skill"
Is it just because the bird shit on your head, or because the doctor misdiagnosed you as a shit head. Just kidding I did say misdiagnosed...............J

*People on here being critical and frustrated with Swayman and what he's done* - All good.

*Guy on team seems frustrated with Swayman* - "WHAT AN ASSHOLE!"

Nothing 91 said was out of line. He's frustrated, he wants to win, they just got shelled 7-2. He's pissed and has every right to be.

I mean, yes, that's exactly right.

Can you not see the difference?

Look, I hated the Zadorov signing, I hate his deal, I think this board vastly overrates him, and his contract is going to age like cottage cheese left out after a BBQ, but I've liked him all season because he works hard and stands up for his teammates. He seems like standup guy, or at least he did until now. I think what he said sucks. I don't think it helps anyone, and I don't give a flying f*** if he's frustrated or anything with a teammate, STFU. You're not their coach. You're not the GM. And you wouldn't like it if a teammate pointed out how many braindead plays you've made this season have directly led to goals.

This is the kind of shit that only happens on dysfunctional teams. I'm not surprised it happened, but I am surprised Zadorov is the one who did it.

You and I agree on a lot of things, but on this one I'm ok with Zadorov handling it like he did.

Fluto no doubt took advantage of an opportunity and asked either a very stupid or very clever question depending on your perspective.

Zadorov was left with either saying something that I'm sure he didn't feel or taking the approach he did -- which I'd guess was a 2 on a scale of 10 of what he really feels.

Regardless, I agree completely that it's a dysfunctional room. It also seems like it's been that way for the duration of the season.

Not saying it should be done publicly, but the boil sure seems like it needs to be lanced. And when that happens, it's always going to be somewhat messy.

99.9% of the time I detest teammates doing this shit. I'm very consistent on this. It's not about either player, who is right, or whatever. When it comes to teammates I am very much a "family business is family business" person. Say whatever you want behind closed doors.

I feel they are definitely going to try to go the PLD route this June and get rid of him before that NTC kicks in. I do think he will have a fine career, just not here, seems like a fresh scenery thing.

Been saying it for months: they're making him the scapegoat for the season and trading him for 40 cents on the dollar.

Since the "big fight' with Sam Bennett, the Bruins are 0-5-1 giving up 30 goals in the process.

Thank goodness for Zadorov stepping up there. Really rallied the troops. True leadership from the Russian turnover machine.
Haters gonna hate.

The "turnover machine" is 14th on the team in giveaways per 60, right between Marchand and McAvoy.

Speaking of bird shit.....I got shit on not once but twice in Mazatlan last month.
Targetted? The Cartel? Hard to say.

Nonetheless... I like Zadorov, not crazy about all the penalties plus I think he could be even more physical. He talks. He speaks his mind. This team is leaderless except for Pasta.
Didn't mind at all what Zadorov said.

Swayman has been a colossal flop this year. He knows it. His teammates know it. The American people know it. He gets paid so handsomely and contributes so little.
Which brings us to the so-called fight. If he was so upset for what happened.....go fight. Cross that line dude!!!
Inviting a guy to fight? Its not a date. Go fight.
Swayman said later he did it "because he touched one of our guys".
Well you did nothing. Skated up to the redline and looking threatening. Where'd he learn that from? Frederic.

Zadorov exposed whats going on in that dressing room and it ain't pretty.

I'm not sure we should be surprised. I don't know his history as a teammate, but I don't recall hearing about any prior issues. What I do know is that he's on his 6th team and has been traded 4 times. This was his first contract since his rookie deal that was for more than 2 years. Now I'm sure the lack of commitment from teams is largely due to his play, and not his behavior, but it certainly does make you wonder.

Man this is a great point and definitely something to think about.

I've been on both sides of the Zadorov discussion. I thought he was a mess his first 2 months, then settled down and started playing better. IMO, he's continued to improve all year and has been playing #1 minutes for weeks and is still holding his own in that role. As Colt said, he's not the guy getting lit up every game, despite the Dzone starts, despite 1st line matchups.

That said, I would have preferred he not say anything when asked about Swayman. Clearly, he thought this was another 'look at me' moment from the business major, but this team doesn't need more drama. I think we could have done without it.

Zadorov has plenty in his own game to worry about before he starts commenting on how other people are playing.

If he was Ray Bourque thats one thing, but the guy has had plenty of benny hill like shifts so far this season so not sure why he thinks he has room to talk.

Guys been a 3rd pairing Dman for most of his career with some serviceable spot duty in the top 4. Haven't seen anything from him since he's been here to make me think he can change his spots 12+ seasons into his career.

Aside from the bad penalties, and not such good plays in his own end, I think Zadorov really cares about the team and teammates, I and I believe Swayman, is just a distraction, and not someone that would not be missed.

What do you expect out of Zadorov as a player?
