Strong game in Detroit

That’s the guy I wanted
Minor point, he has had a habit of drifting into the corner unnecessarily after the puck carrier, but I noticed one time in particular, that stop himself and stayed and protected the net, a little but positive sign.

This I agree with . Two great clears on the PK at the end of the game . A player that can be a great asset . Just needs not to try and do to much .
You are right, must play within himself.

It's a change in strategy after the coaching change.

You could often find two defencemen below the goal line under Monty. Under Sacco, one always stays net front and a forward attacks with a defenceman.

It's not perfect yet. There will be an adjustment period.

For Zadorov in particular, he was already learning a new system, then 20 games later learning another new system all over again.

I think with their new attention to detail and layers, he's going to look great by the all-star break
Bruins are built for heavy grind - simple structured D ~ layers infront of G and get it up and out

Good luck Blues I hope you got a lot of 5’10 guys - Monty will love you

Again, an underrated trait he brings is the ability to skate with the puck. I've watched a lot of Zadorov being on the west coast, I never really noticed this. I wish he would do it more. The biggest thing for him is not being trapped behind the net or something. He's got a pretty good break out pass, too.
He has stopped wandering I noticed.Someone spoke to him for sure..

Good for him settling down and stepping up his play when Lindholm is out and the role/minutes at the top open up.

Not a perfect player and a luxury at his salary but its great to have someone with size who isn't soft like Carlo.

Better so far with Sacco layers and structure

He was roaming more with Monty and better suited around net defending
under monty, he reminded me a little of how orlov played when he was here, style wise.
has definitely settled in with the new mandate on how to defend.

i'd still like to see him clear the zone better (johnny boychuk was the standard - crank the shit out of
the puck off the glass and if you wanna get in front of that, good for you)...but minor quibble.

Knock off the Carlo soft shit, you sound ridiculous, one of the better shut down defenseman in the league, you don't get there by being soft. True the year has not started out well for him but his play as been much better than the start of the season.
