Again in my scenario

if he does not sign to the teams liking.............no cost

if he signs for 1 million and does not make the big club, then a 3rd

if he makes it onto the nhl club it goes to a 2nd

You realize you can't put conditions on a player signing anymore, right?

Lol. Take him.
So overrated for a guy who doesn’t even want to play in the best league in the world.
No drive. Total chump sauce.
I don’t believe it’s about playing in the NHL for Tryamkin.

Tryamkin probably wants to stay in Russia with his young wife and keep playing for his hometown team Yekaterinburg KHL most likely at a much lesser rate then what he could potentially make in the NHL.

From the same home town as Egor Sokolov.

Sens should trade a conditions 7th for his rights and put together their best pitch: an envelope containing a piece of Sens letterhead with “Zub.” on it.

You guys are going to love this one!

But please consider it!

Tryamkin is a 6'7" , 265 lb LHD, who plays the RH side. Tryamkin is currently in the KHL, and signed to a KHL contract. Vancouver holds his rights until August 30, 2022

I do not know if he has an out clause in the contract. But it is clear that he has absolutely no wish to sign with Vancouver.

My proposal is a conditional trade, as follows............

If Tryamkin's rights are traded, and he has a opt out clause and he uses it and signs with the trading team, then the trading team will give the Canucks a 3rd round pick. If he make the NHL squad, then the 3rd turns into a second.

To review...........to trading team (no costs unless)

1. trade......................future considerations
2. If he signs, then a 3rd round pick
3. If he make the NHL club, then the 3rd turns into a 2nd

Targeted Teams.........(Teams with famous Russians)

Tampa................Kucherov, Sergachev, Vasilevskiy

Washington........Ovechkin, Kuznetsov, Orlov, Samsonov

IMO, both teams would love Tryamkin, if he makes the team, as he would have a cheap contract, and
IMO, if he was ever to come to the NHL, it would be for one of these 2 teams.

Hey, you can't blame a guy for trying............and it is a shame he is not playing here somewhere.

And, I know it iis a long, long, long Pie in the sky shot, but Ive been drinking Tequila all day, so don't blame me................it was the worms fault!

ummm…..he’s a UFA at the start of summer 2022 UFA season. He’s 27 on July 1 so he’s a UFA and coukd sign anywhere

Tryamkin’s KHL contract with Yekaterinburg doesn’t expire until after the end of the 2022-23 season.

that’s irrelevant to the issue of when Vancouver has his rights till.

him being under contract in the KHL does not extend any sort of rights vancouver has. In the nhl he’s a UFA.

You said Tryamkin could sign anywhere after the 2022 season but that’s not true, his KHL contract with Yekaterinburg does not expire until after the 2023 season.

Vancouver will not retain Tryamkin’s rights after the 2022 season, but Tryamkin is not a UFA until after the 2023 season if Yekaterinburg decides to let him walk, which probably won’t happen anyway so in this case the point is moot.

The NHL/KHL do not have a transfer agreement in place, they conduct business as separate entities.

Tryamkin is from Yekaterinburg and as long as Yekaterinburg keeps giving Tryamkin a contract he most likely will never leave Yekaterinburg or the KHL.

NHL does not have an agreement with the KHL
Because of that in the NHLs eyes he’s a UFA as of the start of 2023 free agency because he’s 27 as of July 1 2022.

Wether the player decided to get out of his KHL contract this summer is a different matter. He might have some sort of option buy out. I don’t know and don’t care.

The nhl does not have to honor such KHL contract if he chooses to sign in the nhl because there is not agreement between the two leagues.

He plays right side, even if he is LHD, plays physical and defensively minded hockey, and would cost us nothing to sign him.

Hopefully with Benning and Green gone, we can lure him back, in spite of Covid. I remember that was the reason for his one year extension in the KHL listed in some clickbait article I read.

Guys past his prime, we will probably only get a 2nd or 3rd for him at the TDL

?? why would a team trade for a guy in KHL under contract, at trade deadline?
at trade deadline, teams add guys for the stretch run

and if Canucks are the team trying to improve immediately, for stretch run,
this is not the return which is gonna convince a team to choose Vancouver as trade partner, for a player that contenders are vying for

I’d imagine his value is a lot closer to future considerations than a 2nd round pick.

Ignoring the KHL contract, he's 27 so a UFA this offseason. No need to involve the Canucks.

Generally I’m opposed to the “why give up assets when we can sign him for free in x years”. However, with this player given his reluctance to sign with Vancouver. I really wouldn’t give up much given the risk of if he’d even play for said team
