Kucherov is a long shot to even be a Hart finalist.

Nuts
Honest question, which media members vote on the hart? Of course there’s the hole Russian thing but Kuch is also known to be grumpy and introverted around the media so you gotta think that unfortunately that has a slight impact too. Maybe I’m overthinking this but man I don’t think the media should vote for any of the major awards. Players and/or coaches and gms should have a vote before them.

I couldn’t tell you but I know for a fact that many of them over the years have inserted their own agendas into the mix. The PHWA is who votes

It s a good race this year and at the end of the day I can live with everybody winning the Hart...but man Drai is rocking this league in goal scoring in historical fashion and again without McDavid...he has now better stats without McD over the last 5/6 years than with him and he is the only reason they are in a playoff spot which cannot be said about the other contenders for the Hart.

Crazy thing is Drai would lead in scoring if you exclude empty net points

He lost the lead the moment he got injured. He needs a colossal game in his return tonight to reinsert himself in the discussion for the top spot. Something absurd like 3-4 goals and 5-6 points in a convincing Oilers win to even have a chance.

It’s a shame, but his exit was simply too ill-timed and almost certainly took him from a possible awards sweep to just the Rocket.
I think he has put him at the top of the Hart race again...what a solo performance from him yesterday...just awesome and again without McD.

A bit shocking you named 5 players and none called Connor McDavid

McDavid is going to play a maximum of 72 games this year. Missing 10 or more games in a season on its own is borderline auto disqualification from most Hart races.

And that’s without factoring in that while 90 points in 63 games is a career season/PPG for all but a handful of other forwards in the league, he’s played well below his own highest standards. He’s simply been battling too many nagging injuries while also missing time due to them and being suspended to make this anything other than unmysterious.

Kucherov is going down as not just one of the best players ever, but the best Bolt ever!

Kucherov for some reason has a lot more points than the next player. Like Hagel has 81 points and Kucherov has nearly thirty more. Last season he had forty more points than the next player which I believe was Brayden point.
