Nikita Kucherov on 126 point pace and on his way to another Art Ross

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

Honestly crazy how it seems like Mack and Kuch are getting better the more they age, especially considering how Malkin/ovi/crosby sort of hit their peaks around their mid-early 20s.
Don’t really think Mack deserves the hart this year, so just hoping for the art ross at this point but Kuch is gonna make it awfully close again.

Is MacKinnon scoring higher or lower after the Rantanen trade ?

Before trade:

19 goals, 75 points in 49 games. Pace of 32 goals and 126 points in 82

After trade:

10 goals, 33 points in 24 games. Pace of 34 goals and 113 points in 82

His pace is slightly down - but I don't think it's significant.

He should be automatically disqualified for any hardware for being a clown during that All-Star weekend.

I'm not sure if he'll get there (it'll be close), but if Kucherov gets to 80 assists on the season:
  • he'll be the only winger in NHL history to reach 80 assists four times. He'll also be the only forward aside from Gretzky and Lemieux to do this. (Gretzky did this 14x, Lemieux 6x, Orr 5x, and Coffey 4x).
  • he'll also become the only forward in NHL history (aside from Gretzky) to get 80 assists three years in a row.
