Nike Olympic player t shirts?

If someone could help a color challenged person out, has anyone seen those "red" shirts in person? To me they look burnt orange, do they really look like that in real life or are they brighter/darker? Not like it may matter, I'm still holding out for a Kessel shirt. :groucho:

I honestly can't believe how badly Nike screwed this up. Almost nobody has actual t-shirts with this years' logos on them, and those that do exist aren't even printed in the same way the jerseys are. Terrible, terrible job.

Nike has gotten these out in a month. That's pretty dang good considering. Blame the IIHF in letting teams have until January 7th to name their teams. If you want Canada stuff go to the Bay website. Not hockey wise, but if you want hockey stuff go to Team Canada's website.

Tshirts aren't supposed to be printed the same way as the jerseys. Jerseys are supposed to be different since they're worn by the players.

Wearing this shirt to class today, so much better than the 2014 ones. Nevertheless, go states!

I wouldn't say they've gotten them out. There are a few t-shirts for Canada that I can see. Am I missing the place where I can get the rest of them? I don't want Canada stuff. I want mostly USA stuff and maybe some Sweden.

In 2014, Nike is in charge of Olympic gear and there's not a website where I can buy team shirts for players on most teams. Even just the most popular players. This day and age, that's a disappointment. The shirts are expensive, fine. The shirts aren't so much "jersey shirts" as much as the team logo centered on a t-shirt, that's disappointing, but I can live with it. On top of that, the shirts are in short supply and hard to find. That's too many obstacles to get a shirt made by one of the biggest companies in the world for one of the biggest events in the world.

Is that really a thing with the different printing? I have had plenty of Rangers shirts printed with the same graphics as the jersey. I mean, they're different in the fact that they're different material, different cuts, short sleeved as opposed to long sleeved, etc.

It's been a month since the teams were named. Good grief. You realize it takes time to make these right? River City Sports is adding Team Canada ones as they get them. I never saw "jersey" tshirts for Team Canada last Olympics and there was much more available because the team was named a month earlier then this year. Maybe it's because the US doesn't really care about hockey in the Olympics? They seem to be more determined for their other athletes. Email Nike and complain. Or email your sports stores and ask. That's what I did. I want a Getzlaf tshirt, but they aren't making those. I also want a Malkin one, but I'm not paying an arm and a leg to get one sent from Russia. It's just a ****ing tshirt. Get over it.

I emailed River City Sports the other day to see if they are getting anymore Team Canada shirts in(Ex. John Tavares or Alex Pietrangelo) and they said "We are still awaiting word from Nike as to when/if we are going to get more of the name and number t’s for the Olympics. I would suggest that you check back with us next week and we should finally have some idea." So there is alittle hope they might be getting more in if your looking for Team Canada T's…As for USA if you are looking for Player T's the NHL Shop has a good variety right now *But very limited sizes*, the Patrick Kane Team USA Shirt on NHL.Shop is already out of stock in everything but 3XL, so obviously people aren't thinking these shirts are to crappy!

They've been keeping me updated on twitter and they got Price, Tavares, Keith, Toews and Subban yesterday. Should be in stores today or Monday. I asked about Hamhuis and they said probably not (not that I'm surprised, but disappointed since last Olympics every player was available).

Thank you for the info! Been wanting to get my hands on a Tavares shirt every since they started making them! And I also thought the full roster was a longshot...I am a fan of Alex Pietrangelo I wish they would make his shirt.

I am "over it." I was never anything else. I said it was a bummer and it is. You're making an argument out of me sharing my opinion and telling me "it's just a shirt" and "get over it." I could say the same thing to you. It's the topic of the thread, so I'm talking about it, and so are you.

I realize it takes time to make them. I also realize that the Olympics are starting now and the stuff isn't out there. That's really all that matters. They can have excuses for days, but the bottom line is the Olympics are starting and I can't even find a place willing to rip me off for a team USA shirt that is supposed to be made by one of the biggest sportswear companies in the world. Did they really need to wait for Crosby to be named to make shirts? Ovechkin? Lundqvist? Quick? Parise? I can go on. There have been plenty of locks that have been known about for a long, long time, and most of them are the kind of players who sell merchandise. Nike's job is to make merchandise for this particular event. The event is starting soon and there's very little available merchandise. That's disappointing to me. Maybe it's not to you, that's fine.

Funny thing is that Nike isn't even producing the USA player tees. I luckily still have my Stastny and Ryan USA shirts from 2010, like the Parise above. They, meaning the ones from this year, were produced quickly (online at least). Nike could easily do the same.

That's what makes it particularly odd to me. The ones they made for the last olympics were really nice. The Parise one above is great. And whoever is making the US shirts now made them quick, they're just not as nice.

so no team Russia t-shirts at all? great..

Yep it really is a damn shame. They really dropped the ball on these Olympics when it comes to jerseys and tshirts and product availability IMO. Frankly I'm disgusted and disappointed.

Ah well. At least I can rock my Malkin and Crosby shirts from 2010. Considering I was wearing my Crosby name and number t-shirt the day he scored the Golden Goal back in 2010, maybe it'll be lucky a second time too. :D

Y'never know. :dunno: ;)

I'm about to order a Subban t-shirt from Ice Jerseys. Has anybody bought anything from there recently? How long did it take for your order to be delivered?
