If I'm taking a risk size queening I'd rather go with mobile and no sense than with slowfooted, but quick witted.
I'd rather go with neither since most likely neither of the two combos will ever make the NHL and do anything great.
hes got the tools, just no tool box so to speak
Williams is the perfect NHL project. It seems most people are underestimating how raw he is. He's putting up around a PPG game in the OHL as a defenseman, and that's as a relative fish out of water. It's hard to say whether the lightbulb will every go off and he can put it all together mentally, but I'll bet a fair amount that with his skating, size, and shot he can have some sort of role in the NHL.
I hope he's as bad as the last Avs prospect you said was destined for failure.Think Patrice Brisebois inside of a tank. While the allure of a slick-passing, quick-footed blueliner who owns a booming, low slapper and has the physique of a brick wall is undeniable, the athleticism needed to play 40 minutes a game without breaking a sweat is a waste if that ice-time can't be played responsibly.

I missed the loads of well rounded giants in the tail end of the 2nd round.
When the hell did Williams become "well rounded" when he can't even play defense?
Didn't say he was, but it's not like anyone demopnstrably better was passed up was it?
Personally, I think Jamie McBain would've been a much better choice at that spot. Williams is a good risk but there are definitely others who I rank a fair bit higher that went right behind him.
