Third Legged NickWell Endowed Nick
He’s red hot. Playing like a number one lately for sure. He’s streaky though. Let’s see if he can maintain it. I hope he does and I know @Redux91 does.Slick Nick is 11th in points for Cs.
Some call him a 2nd liner tho, lmaooooooo.
Hes clearly a top 20C, if not top 15. Good enough with another comparable C. The Habs have the Bruins build.
Lol I don't care about that playful bet budHe’s red hot. Playing like a number one lately for sure. He’s streaky though. Let’s see if he can maintain it. I hope he does and I know @Redux91 does.![]()
Meh.He’s red hot. Playing like a number one lately for sure. He’s streaky though. Let’s see if he can maintain it. I hope he does and I know @Redux91 does.![]()
I told you, I’d love to see it. Would be fun to self ban. I can use the rest.Lol I don't care about that playful bet bud
I want that 75 pts for him and for the good of the team baby
He's got some big time years ahead of him as we turn more and into a better team
It's gonna be so fun
Yes but look who he's playing with.10 points in his last 5 games.
Ask again when the year is over. People flip flop on opinions too often. It takes longer to prove out. Suzuki has always had the potential to be a number one but hasn’t proven it (in my opinion anyway.) The consistency hasn’t been there.Top ten in full-time center points. Anyone still think he's not a 1c?
Oh come on LG. Eat the crow and keep it down.Ask again when the year is over. People flip flop on opinions too often. It takes longer to prove out. Suzuki has always had the potential to be a number one but hasn’t proven it (in my opinion anyway.) He’s always been really good but lacked the consistency.
Dude is streaky. When he plays like this he’s great. We saw it at the start of last year before dropping off. The number one thing about being a first liner is a consistent game.
There’s no doubt that he’s playing well. Big lift from Slaf who’s playing incredibly well and Suzuki is converting (unlike CC who seems to be struggling to find the net again in the past few games.) But Suzuki had a nice run earlier in the year where he was up to about a 76 point pace. This thread got excited and then he slumped again falling back to a 62 point pace.
Ebbs and flows come with the territory. Even the best players slump. But Suzuki is streakier than most. Right now he’s one of the hottest players in the league.
Let’s see how he does down the stretch. We’re currently going through a run of playing against bad teams. Glad to see us racking up points against them (that’s what you should do) but let’s see how we do against tougher clubs.
One thing is certain, Slafkovski is going to help big time. That guy is turning into a monster before our very eyes. That line has looked amazing lately. Hopefully they can continue scoring against those better teams.
I will be happy to - when he proves it.Oh come on LG. Eat the crow and keep it down.
Similar situation as larkinMeh.
He's been playing "like a #1" for a long time... Just didn't have adequate support for consistent points. His talented 19 & 22 yr old wingers have picked up their play of late, and the production ensues... Predictably so.
Few C's in the league have had as little scoring talent around them as Suzuki has had the past few seasons.
Habs are 6th worst in GF the last 3 years.
In that time, only 2 Habs have 100+ pts, Suzuki at 178 & CC at 121.
Suzuki has 50 more points than #2 (Caufield ) on the Habs & 100more pts than #3 (Anderson, 78pts).
Anh = 4@ 100+pts
Arz = 3@100+, 5 better than 78
CBJ = 4@100+, 5 @78+
Philly = 2@100+, 8@78+
SJ = 4@100+, 5@78+
Chi = 2@100+, 3@78+
Only Keller in Zona tops Suzuki's individual output.
Context. Matters. Suzuki is and has been a solid #1C for some time. The combination of not being a stat padding focused player, even on a lottery team (as many talented fwds do in those situations), and playing on a roster with less scoring talent than any of the other bottom of the league teams except the woeful Blackhawks, has limited his individual point production.... Which has been quite consistent compared to the other teams as talent starved as the Habs.
Over the next season or two, we'll get to enjoy him proving his doubters, like you, quite wrong as he cements himself as a top tier, rather than middle of the pack or bottom tier #1C.
Future is bright![]()
Larkin produced like a number one though. He did it with little help.Similar situation as larkin
I mean he's 26th in PPG for the last two years, that pretty much proves wtv you wanted it to prove.I will be happy to - when he proves it.
I know people think I hate him but I’ve always liked the guy. Took my son to see him with the Guelph Storm. But he has to at least do it for a year. I’ve seen this movie before.
Right now it’s a streak. He’s always had an extra gear (we saw it last year for about two months) but hasn’t been able to maintain it. Let’s see if he can continue it. I sincerely hope he can bud.
Please go look at their stats and get back t me. Similar stat line, similar age and situation.Larkin produced like a number one though. He did it with little help.
They have a 9 points difference over the last 100 games. With Larkin having much more help. (Debrincat, Raymond, Seider, Kane, Copp, Sprong, Perron, Bertuzzi, Fabbri and Compher above .5ppg vs Cole, Dach, Matheson, Monahan, Drouin, Hoffman and Newhook.)Larkin produced like a number one though. He did it with little help.
Three years younger is pretty big.Please go look at their stats and get back t me. Similar stat line, similar age and situation.
