I was so jealous when Vegas drafted him. Nice how it all worked out.
Suzuki will continue his linear progression as Slaf and Caufield continue their development. Just a perfect situation.I was so jealous when Vegas drafted him. Nice how it all worked out.
The same petulant Scheifele that tried to kill Evans? He deserved to be out.Yea if only the habs injured Tavares in game 1 the series would be over a lot sooner
Strange that habs fans are still complaining about kreider injuring price but they conveniently ignore the fact that toronto lost Tavares and Winnipeg lost scheifele in back to back series against the habs.
With or without Tavares, leafs should not have lost to the Habs. It's embarrassing regardlessYea if only the habs injured Tavares in game 1 the series would be over a lot sooner

I'd take Tavares on a discount. I believe he was cup chasing when he signed in Toronto 7 years ago. Signing with a team like Montreal could give him a real chance to achieve that goal.
fair point. He's probably too old and stubborn to learn anything from Suzuki. Let him play out his career in Toronto.I was cool with getting Tavares too for a bit but the thing is losing is an infectious disease. Some guys are just losers. Case in point when the Leafs got Joe Thornton. Despite the fact that the Leafs got eliminated he was all smiles. He was cool with losing, he's a loser.
14 fricking million dollars is gonna be his ask. What if Demidov gets comparable numbers to him in his second year? What if Hutson waits until we sign Marner to re-sign? They'd both want near 14mil as well. Congratulations, you've just inherited TML's f'd up wage cap structure. Congratulations, your Cup contention window is closed.
Just damn foolish as an ask. The people that ask to trade for Crosby are more reasonable.
Folks just be yapping
The Hart is MVP, most valuable player. The guy is essentially singlehandly bringing a team full of scrubs to the playoffs. I watched those games, I can't think of a more clutch player.

How can two people do something single-handedlyMost productive player since the Four Nations.
Serious Hart trophy consideration as he and Hutson are singlehandly bringing the Habs to the playoffs since the TDL.
MTL has been on interesting trajectory since they snatched Suzuki from VGK.
It was quite clear from the beginning the deal was horrendous for VGK, but they've gone with their all-in attitude ever since. MTL on the other hand has had long time plan, that seems to be paying off: they have managed to gather some of the best talent in NHL and make it stick without losing the working class brand. Hutson (based on todays solo coast-to-coast goal alone) could be a "generational talent", Suzuki is very smart for a hockey player, picks his words fantastic and is seemingly a top tier captain in leadership sense.
I don't see him getting a lot of votes given his lack of PK time. He was 13th in selke voting last year, Probably will move up a bit this year....he'll get Selke votes...
There is a lot of reputation voting for the Selke and the weird part is that the contenders always need to score a certain number of points, usually a lot.Just gonna leave me here feeling stupid i guess
He literally said his best decision ever was fully committing to the gymThe best thing Bergevin ever did in his life, was failing to trade for Cody Glass

Thanks for the reply, kinda what i figured. One of the trophies i never assigned too much importance to along with the calder and lady beingThere is a lot of reputation voting for the Selke and the weird part is that the contenders always need to score a certain number of points, usually a lot.
Suzuki is on his away to possibly building his HHOF cake but of course he needs time to enjoy his prime and has to put some icing on it as well so it will be interesting to watch the rest of his career unfold.
