He brings a dimension to the PP that Killer did not have. Strength to hold down the front of the net and he's skilled enough to clean up rebounds. So now teams have to defend the stammer one timer the kuch sneak shot, the pass to point between the circles the hedman blast from the point and they have to battle a guy in front of the net. I feel like in past seasons teams did not have to defend the front of the net much at all beyond making sure Point was tied up.
Also defending hedmans shot from the point? The first six rows.

He fits so well on the PP, we finally have a good net front presence.
He's a pretty swole guy, and when he erects himself in front of the net, it's very hard to firmly grasp him and tie him up. He's very slick in tight spots too, and is surprisingly slippery for his size. It's difficult to really find a way to wrap up Big Dick Nick especially when he has to only focus on a tight box. I think that is a major driving force behind his play on the PP. He doesn't have to drive it in from the blue line, he doesn't have to chase the puck in the corners, he just needs to come from behind the net and starting ramming pucks in front of the net. Or dig out loose pucks from the backdoor.

Yeah, he seems to have taken a big step forward. Looks like the legit power forward we have always wanted. Lots of confidence right now. Let's hope he can sustain that. Last season seemed to indicate he's a player whose play swings wildly with his level of confidence, but let's hope he's now "found" his true game. Or let's just hope the PP can keep him confident long-term.

...Although, if he becomes a 50 point guy, consistently, he's gonna HATE his contract at some point.

Maybe Pierre Mcguire could interview Paul as he loves players with a big body and a big stick

Even funnier reading these back to back, thinking @DFC was going to join in on the fun.... and didn't.

Fully agree, he has a nose for scoring and once he smells the blood he won’t quit until it’s in.
