Don't think a 36 year old Marchand would fit into Bednars system. Brad would have a tough time keeping up with the team.
It's Kyper's own fault for constantly trying to coast on clickbait. He's Eklunded himself.Sums up the thread, close it up.
That'd be a nice 3rd or 4th line.Plot twist - Patrice Bergeron to come out of retirement and sign as a UFA in Colorado too, to re-create the Crosby/Bergeron/Marchand line.
Sid isn't going at all, but I will play. Sid for a suspect in Ritchie; a crap 2C in Mittlestadt and a 1st? Mittlestadt is not anything Pittsburgh would want or need. Colorado doesn't have the assets.UFA Marchand
To Colorado- Crosby
To Pittsburgh- Ritchie, Mittlestadt, and 2026 1st
Send Colton packing
Dont sign Drouin
Nichuskin-Mackinnon-Necas
Marchand-Crosby-Lehkonen
Kiviranta-Drury-Kovalenko
Wood-Kelly-Oconnor
If youre the only team he's willing to go to, it changes real quick. Look at P Kane to the Rangers. A conditional 2nd (1st if the Rangers win 2 rounds. They didnt) and a 4th.Sid isn't going at all, but I will play. Sid for a suspect in Ritchie; a crap 2C in Mittlestadt and a 1st? Mittlestadt is not anything Pittsburgh would want or need. If Sid agree to be trade, he decide the team and the value will be not great.I don't mean to be rude...but does Colorado even have the assets to get Sid?
False. You think Sid is going to get the Penguins get killed on value? If Sid agree to be trade, he decide the team and the value will be not great.
Just spitballing but I feel like they wouldn't get full value, but also not killed on value either. Also this will not happen. And yet every day my mind says "yeah but wouldn't it be great... you never know..."False. You think Sid is going to get the Penguins get killed on value?
Lol, that's perhaps even LESS likely than trading him in the first place.
Sid with a full NMC is tough to put a value on though. He'd want the return to help the Penguins that's for sure. I highly doubt Colorado going "Muahahaha, he'll only waive us! We got Dubas now! A THIRD!? AHAHAHA!" would fly with Sid, or Dubas for that matter.Just spitballing but I feel like they wouldn't get full value, but also not killed on value either. Also this will not happen. And Joe Sakic could ascend from the rafters on game 1 and score 40 goalsAnd the Avs would get both Crosby and Marchand for peanuts, right?
I agree with this sentiment. I'm more so saying that Sid bring so much value that it's hard to get a full return on that.Sid with a full NMC is tough to put a value on though. I see this a lot and it's such a dumb argument.IF Sid really wanted to play for the Avalanche he wouldn't have re-signed.

I definitely don't think Crosby will be traded. Gun to my head, i bet nearly everything that he stays in Pitts.
But him signing an extension being the definitive proof of this? He was, what, 35-36 when he signed the extension? At his age, not knowing if you will suffer a career ending injury or have your game fall off a cliff, you take the 26 million guaranteed everytime and you take the no-move clause too to ensure if you ever move, you control the destination.
This is common sense. As a guy still scoring 90+ points per year, Crosby knows not a single team in the league has an issue taking on his contract. He's easily movable, controls his destiny, and has 26 mil secured in the bank.
Whether he stays or goes, the idea that his contract extension sealed it one way or the other is nonsense.
