I thought they were stuck with his cap since it`s a 35+ contract. I had to read me up and I see now that a one year 35+ deal can be buried in the AHL, so thats good news

We'll find out waiving him was for cap purposes for 24-48 hours and he'll be back. Or some stupid Rongos bull crap. I highly doubt Drury is smart enough or pays enough attention to take coaches' toys away from them. Watch Pitlick get more ice time now. He already threw Wheeler back on the top line. They'll play 5D chess to get more bums playing more minutes.
