Proposal: Nick Bjugstad (UTA) for Timothy Liljegren (TOR)

Not a good deal for the Leafs, Liljegren just turned 25 and can shine for them if given the opportunity and powerplay time.

Feels like that's been the go-to line for three straight years now. He's looked good for stretches but I don't know if there's ever been more than 5 games at a time when he's looked like a capable 2nd pairing D

They already have that committee set up. If Liljegren was a shut down D and pk specialist, then it would make sense. Bortuzzo will be adequate for that roll as long as he doesn't have to play every game. As long as Marino can complement Sergachev on the 1st pairing, UtHC will be fine. This is the team GMBA made. The offense will be relentless and the defense will be accountable 2-way. The goalie tandem is probably one of the most underrated in the league. Their #s should be much improved with a much improved D in front of them. This team, as is, will make the playoffs and it won't be as a wild card!

Bjugstad should stay in that organization, he seems to have found a home on that line-up and with the coach. Always wished he worked out better on the Penguins than he did, but he was so injury prone at that time.

If I'm Utah I wouldn't do Bjugstad for Liljegren let alone the rest of the deal.

Kesselring and Liljegren are roughly similar but both would be #6D on Utah.

Robertson has no value and wants out, but Utah wouldn't be the place for him I don't think, they really don't need more wingers. He does have potential but Utah is really really deep on the wings and I don't think he's better than Doan, Maccelli, Crouse, Keller, etc

Jarnkrok and Dewar have literally zero value and both don't make Utah better, basically the same caliber of centers they have now and they wouldn't play them at wing. McBain is far more valuable as a center.

Toronto Passes pretty easily, they don't need much of anything coming from the Utah side. No that they aren't decent assets they just don't directly upgrade or address any glaring need for Tor. I think there are better matches out there. Also, new coach, new lease on life for many of the Leafs players, so no need to sell low. TML are better off going into camp with what they have and making the necessary moves in season.
