Even if everything were legal, he'd still find a way to betray his team. He's got no quit in him.
He really is like the Terminator.

I know I've been busting his balls and I am still madder than hell at him.

But...

God damn I miss watching him skate down the puck relentlessly. I miss watching him forecheck. I miss watching him backcheck. I miss the way he shakes his head after a goal and his bucket slides damn near over his eyes and he just hugs everyone with that stoic but goofy grin.

I hate him so much, but I absolutely know if he still plays the same way I'll be sucked back in.

People now: "Please come back Mr. Nichushkin, please please please"
My stance always was: I hate the guy, love the player and we can't win without him. And I want to win.

I don't think a single soul here wanted us to keep Nichushkins cap hit and not play him.

I am happy to be able to claim not to have taken the former stance.

What's happened does not effect how much he's needed. Didn't then, does not now. It was like having a forward similar to Landeskog fall into our lap, and he was outperforming his contract while here.

Does his addiction suck? Yes, for him more than us really.

Is he needed in order to play the way Bednar wants his team to play, absolutely.
