Oh, I like when people do that. If you are going to post a pure guess or rumour. Just label it that way.

Its fine to speculation or traffic in rumours as long as you make it clear. That is totally a pet peeve of mine on the Internets and has been for 20+ years that people pass along speculation as factual.

Thank you, it is based on real-life experience managing an annual budget in the seven figures realm. But yes, it is an opinion.

Who or what charted chances; was it one person, four, twenty?
What is the reason to compare Niagara to the two best teams in the league and arguably best coached team in Kitchener; would Kingston, Brantford, and Oshawa be more appropriate?

Actually watched the entire game, and some other action during intermissions.
If you were an actual IceDogs fan you would have been at the arena and not see the intermission either.
I actually got to see most of Brampton-Windsor and half of Guelph-Oshawa too. How much OHL hockey do you watch?

The Coach gave an update on the injuries in the Standard today:

Levin will come back from the world under-20 Division 2, Group B championship in Belgrade, Serbia, after missing five games.
“I think he will be an injection of energy in our lineup. He’s got 12 points in the last 12 games.”
Boudreau doesn’t expect Assadourian or Paris to travel to Barrie and North Bay on the weekend.
“If they do, it’s a surprise and it would be a lot better.”

Value section I got early bird last year for 380. Looks like for next year it’s 450. 18.5% price increase.

The two cheapest sections are seeing a huge spike in price. The value section increases by 18% and the old bronze sections are being increased by a whopping 25%. It looks like DD is trying to get rid of the cheap sections and force people to pay more. I guess you can do that when fans are knocking down the door to get tickets. lol.

With attendance so low you can pay for a value seat and sit in platinum.

Raising the prices on a shrinking customer base is the exact opposite approach required.

Should do a lot of things to lure fans back. Having senior and student tickets just means your grandma buys the tickets for you - how would they regulate who uses them?

Ya, a few people are absolutely buying the cheap tickets and sitting in premium sections.

This price increase is offensive. You would think DD would reward the people who supported the team in the bad years by holding the price for existing ticket holders.

Its been what ... 4 days since He was suspended and still no news on the length. That is ridiculous.

DD is betting that those "bad years" STHs will continue to stick with the team and he is doubling down that you'll also pay more. That kind of logic is what got him into this mess. It's suggesting no matter what he does as an owner, you owe him more money. There are no consequences for poor performance.

I wasn't always a Naysayer®, I was a regular fan since 2007 and a STH since 2012. Two years ago I'd had enough and asked (politely) for a refund, prior to the season starting. It was refused. I saw the owner's attitude reflected through his sales manager. So, I endured another year and called it quits this year. Still a big fan of the game and players, but a line was crossed for me. Perhaps other fans have a different line or none at all... In my opinion, such a huge increase in the face of dwindling attendance is very insulting.
