A 2 game losing streak. After a 7 game win streak. We have won 8 out of the last 10 games. Same record as London.

Of course the 2 games is what you want to remember about the last month.
Read this again. The two losses were on-ice and not what I was referring to at all

As far as things to complain about, I haven't and won't mention the series of the off-ice embarrassments over the last month and as recent as the Michigan trip. The behind-the-scene happening are a complete sh$tshow! There are some very unhappy people.

I am enjoying this season and understand what Sam is saying. The two points of view are not mutually exclusive. The icedogs can do well while mortgaging their future...it's too bed they likely won't win more than one playoff series. Defence wins championships!

The two losses were the only two losses we have had in the last 10 games.

...and Ben has now mentioned that both on and off the record. I suspect if there is a move to be made before the deadline or next year it will be to make significant changes to the D.

I have heard the same thing including some poor off ice behaviour by the players. Can't share how I know...but I know.

Bigger veteran laden rosters with playoff experience on it, and play good (team) defence wins championships. The IceDogs roster is just not ready to win a championship this season. The playoff experience gained this year will help.

100%.

Like I've always said, if there's a dman to acquire that will be here next year and won't cost any of the core players (He, Roobroeck, Czata, Wassilyn, Brauti) then go for it. Otherwise, wait until next year and enjoy the playoff experience that you get.

i said dd was buying the team, you said it was nonsense and that he was not. 3 months later he did. you swore i was wrong.

what if again, your wrong?

you jump on here and defend, but you have no proof that they are wrong either.

However, if at the beginning of the season I told you they would be fighting for first, would you have believed me?

DD has built a team that is going to be competitive for a long time. Last year, you started the season with a faulty coach and OHL sanctions.

This year, you have a top team that is scaring a lot of other teams and scouts because DD went in a different direction.

This team has used draft picks the way they should be used. to build the team.

I remember @Sam14 complaining about the lack of WEuro and that Loshko was not going to last with the team.

This team has the parts to bring great hockey to the Niagara region. Are they going to be the top team in the OHL this year Not a chance. BUT they are going to be one of the top teams next yer and for the foreseeable future.

Also remember that if they need draft picks they can get them BUT I really do not see a need.

You now have a team that is highly competitive. Does it need tweeking sure but all teamsneed that.

You need to be looking for a goalie and a defenceman next year.

Ask @dirty12 or @frontsfan67 If they wouldlike this team in KIngstonor would have minded the build up that got it there.

Fans now want everything NOW The idea of drafting and developing is long gone for most teams. That is why London does so well.

I would like to interrupt this discussion about how terrible the team will be in 3 years to talk about this weekend.

Any chance London will get their WJC players back for tonight?

This weekend will be a real test. I will predict 3 points.

Highly unlikely that Cowan, Dickinson, and Bonk will be in the lineup tonight. As for Halttunen and Nurmi, they're not quite "finnished".

Going by some people on the London board they don’t seem to think they’ll be back but I wouldn’t be surprised if they are I’ll go 2 points this weekend even though the team is playing so much better than expected tonight is still London and Windsor is 3 in 3

I'm very supportive of the players and the results they are getting. However, I don't project any of this success onto DD.

Kevin He was drafted before he bought the team. Roobroeck, Wassilyn and Czata are all top 5 picks and Brauti, while I really like the player, was a massive overpay to acquire.

The reality is, any competent manager would be running with the same core players, while also having an abundance of picks stockpiled to add to this core for this year and next.

I am not a fan of DD. However it is ridiculous to suggest he has not done anything right. Clearly some stuff worked out for him. It can't all be dumb luck.

Another topic. I am super glad that Gretzky has been scrubbed from the website and his ownership status is a mystery. With his trumpy love and foray into politics it would reflect poorly on the IceDogs to have him as the face of the organization. In fact, if he was majority owner I might be inclined to give up my tickets.
