In addition to that some imo petty agents wannabe owners/GMs conspired to ruin the owner that seemed arrogant for naming himself GM.
Things were going very poorly for the franchise until DD found an agent with talented clients to work with. The product on the ice at least, looks pretty good now.
But why do you think agents were telling their kids not to come to the IceDogs? Rookie coaches? Team not paying for meals? Taking long game day bus trips rather than staying in a hotel? Budget to low? Bullying issues? Take your pick. But all these issues started under DD’s watch.

With regards to DD partnering with an agent, wouldn’t a better way to operate be to pick the best player available. That is what the Burke’s did and the IceDogs record under the Burke’s was great. Under DD, we will never have the success that the Burke’s had.

Why are you asking questions when my answer is in the post you quoted?

Not drafted till next t year late birthday.

Icedogs double Sudbury 6 to 3 behind Czata hat trick there first sweep of the Northern road trip.. Next game Thursday night at Barrie.
I know. I’m saying after he gets drafted he probably makes nhl right away. Since he has the late birthday he will be 18 at the start of next season and close to 19 by the start of the 2026/27 season.

Maybe I jumbled up my words but what I do mean is he is on pace for 90+ pts this year a 6’4 guy. May score 50 goals too.

Next year expect a bigger point increase too probably. May get 100-120 pts next year as well depending on missing time for world juniors then jump right into the nhl the following season

In other words- plan on next year being the go for it year with him and He leaving

Niagara has been quite vocal about putting in another bid for Memorial cup which would increase the chances of those guys coming back for 26-27 especially Roobroeck but who knows. Let’s get past this trade deadline first 😂.

Yup, next year has to be the go for it year.

Roobroeck and Wassilyn will be in the running as top 10 picks in the NHL. He, will be back for 1 more year. Czata, Arrowsmith, Crete, Galiyanov all a year older.

It's important to make good on their 2 import picks, get the best value out there for the overage slots (check around the league, especially goaltenders) and really nail that big trade - which will include whoever they take in round 1

As I understand it prior to this season the IceDogs had never beaten the Bulldog franchise or had ever swept the north on a trip. Well that’s two firsts for DD. Have to acknowledge that right.

Ability to go for it next year will really be dependent on
1) goalie
2) OA’s
3) Imports

Current 05’s: Assadourian, Scott, Wycisk, Robertson, Levin

With first import pick you can nail 1 and 3 down
