Chad has wanted Murphy for what seems like a long time now. So, this doesn't surprise me.
I mean, we went through that phase for a few years here too.

I will do it too....Also, I'm just curious why do you always misspell Byram's name?
2nd I expect but the 2nd could become a 1st based on playoff advancement. My brothers we are not getting a 1st for Jason Zucker. I’ve seen this perpetuated in a few places, and while ordinarily I would stand back while Kyvyn is the subject of rage posts, my need for realism persists. A 2nd is about what you should expect. Maybe less. He’s never been on a deep playoff run and his playoff pts/game lags behind his regular season by significant amount. There is no team out there who thinks Zuck is the missing piece for a cup. He’s a secondary scorer that a team like Minnesota or LA might see as providing enough PP value to warrant a 2nd. Otherwise he’ll go to the highest bidder for like a 3rd and a future 6th. Just, be realistic.
Henrique, Lindholm, and Monahan were the 3 forward rentals that moved for 1sts at last year's TDL.2nd I expect but the 2nd could become a 1st based on playoff advancement.
Why...other playets like an older jagr went in such a trade between dallas and boston
This year buffalo us one of only s few clear sellers. Others aren't sure yet. If someone wanted this guy and not wait you get a 1st or such an offer
Even if they COULD get a 1st from a contender, I'm not sure I'd do that.My brothers we are not getting a 1st for Jason Zucker. I think you'd hope to spin that pick for something.Even if they COULD get a 1st from a contender, I'm not sure I'd do that.
The guy is valuable to this team right now. You probably have a somewhat better chance of re-signing him if he stays here, and as a veteran he might have an impact on this roster in a positive way.
So even if you COULD get a late first for him, is it worth it? Maybe as a future trade chip. Wyatt Johnson, Jiri Kulich, and Tage Thompson are the only forwards I have seen when going back 8-9 years in draft history that any signifcant production when drafted in the bottom 1/3 of the first round. This team needs help now. Not a 10% - 15% chance of getting a productive player 3-5 years from now.
Fair, but this will be one of the biggest seller's markets ever with so many teams in the playoff race and this is projected to be a VERY weak draft so teams are clearly more willing to trade them. Wouldn't expect it but stranger things have happened.Henrique, Lindholm, and Monahan were the 3 forward rentals that moved for 1sts at last year's TDL.
I think it is optimistic to think that Zucker has that much value at this stage of his career.
I fixed it for you.Not long until Adams can do nothing due to palm trees and taxes.
There are two kinds of weak drafts.Fair, but this will be one of the biggest seller's markets ever with so many teams in the playoff race and this is projected to be a VERY weak draft so teams are clearly more willing to trade them. Wouldn't expect it but stranger things have happened.
Byram replaced Jokiharju as the resident Dahlin-merchant and that is the easiest explanation for the drop in production and his healthy scratches.Guys what do you guys think is fair in a Jokiharju trade, and what has been the reason behind his apparent step back offensively this season?
Also has he been banged up a bit this year or a healthy scratch at times?
And as far as fair trade value for a veteran NHL RHD that isn't great, is overpaid, and been available in trade for a while without any takers, my guess is a late round draft pick and/or a mediocre prospect. Especially since Adams is unlikely to retain any salary to make it easier for a new team to take him on.
The counterargument to that is the fact that Adams basically said that he was only back this season because he tried to trade him and nobody was interested.I still maintain that he's worth more than one would think. He's proven that he can eat 5v5 minutes, especially when paired with the right guy. He can run a PP2 in an absolute pinch. He's got nearly 400 games worth of experience. And there's that thing that nearly every Dman we trade away recently takes a sizeable step up in performance when leaving here
It wouldn't shock me at all if we get something like a 3rd and 6th or 7th for him. There's ALWAYS a market for veteran RHDs....and they usually fetch more than anyone thinks.
Probably a 3rd or 4th.Guys what do you guys think is fair in a Jokiharju trade, and what has been the reason behind his apparent step back offensively this season?
Also has he been banged up a bit this year or a healthy scratch at times?
The Montour special, I would be happy to add him to the Panthers at that price point.Probably a 3rd or 4th.
UFAThe Montour special, I would be happy to add him to the Panthers at that price point.
Is he RFA or UFA after this season?
Any contract talks with Henri, or Buffalo has just decided he is no longer worth a spot?
