I'm of mixed minds here. Like seeing Tampa getting shut out, but it feels 'dirty' pulling for the Bruins.
Its hard to play goalie well when your pockets are filled with gigantic stacks of cash.

Leafs had a deal with Carolina for Rantanen. They asked Marner to waive his nmc for Carolina and he refused.
I think he’s definitely gonna leave Toronto this offseason and make insane money.

Sources: Gap in money led to Marchand trade
The Bruins put a three-year deal on the table for Brad Marchand in February, but the sides had different perspectives on money, leading to his trade to the Panthers, sources told ESPN.
When the Bruins determined they were going to trade Marchand, they worked to get him to a preferred destination.
Marchand is coming off three offseason surgeries and is currently injured. Bruins general manager Don Sweeney said Friday that Marchand was three or four weeks away from returning.

I’m guessing they offered him a pay cut. I bet he would like another few cracks at a Cup and Boston looks headed in the wrong direction.

All the reporting coming out makes it sound like Rantanen was willing to extend basically anywhere else except Carolina which ... lol
