Xenforo Cloud will be upgrading us to version 2.3.5 on March 3rd at 12 AM GMT. This version has increased stability and fixes several bugs. We expect downtime for the duration of the update. I feel like caps may have asked not to have any players picked. Pure speculation. There is a lot of shit that happens behind closed doors. Glad we have our guys off. Might happen again next year. Then we give them all our talent for international play.
Hanifin is a LD. Faber is the guy picked over Carlson.
Sanderson was the Hughes replacement, who knows if Carlson was available.

Who is the GM picking the team again?
*Checks notes* Oh, what a coincidence, it just happens to be the GM of the Minnesota Wild, where Brock Faber plays.
I actually like Faber, what a steal that trade was for the Wild. But offensively he's having a really poor year, whereas Carlson has no doubt been a top-10 D this season and can play in every situation so in terms of who is the deserving player, there's no real doubt who should have been there. But from Caps fan perspective it's great that JC isn't there, Caps rode him to the ground and some more last season and this season they've actually managed to keep his minutes down. US should have great chance to win this even with Faber in over Carlson and it's brilliant that Caps are going to be able to bring out a rested team after the break for the final stretch of the season.
I thoroughly do not like. I tried watching five minutes and its just the nature of a made up tourney in the middle of February seems just meaningless.

When someone on team USA picks up a season ending injury you will be glad Carlsons not there.

I'll watch the opening ceremony tomorrow to hear the canadiens boo or boo-urns the national anthem. Then it's back to sleep.
It seems less made up than the NHL. The players are actually from their team’s location.

Well, it seems to need more inclusion and diversity. Eg: Russia, Germany, Slovakia, Florida, and Belarus. It would make for a more equitable and competitive tournament.

I know it's strange there are other people who have dissenting opinions about the tacky and contrived tournament. Mid-season NHL has been struggling with their #'s so this might translate into more NHL viewership...more fans, more cap space, more $$ for Chycky.
