I think Ryan O'Reilly makes some amount of sense depending on the price. He's still got excellent two-way impacts even if his offense isn't where it used to be. I'd guess he'd fetch a first round pick, which isn't ideal, but the Caps first is likely to be very late.

Having Dubois, Strome, O'Reilly, and Dowd down the center would make them stronger. Certainly not a top tier team down the middle, but much improved. Shift Eller to the wing and sit Raddysh.

When is the TDL? March 7th or something? Teams are trying to load up early.

Target Buffalo, Caps Management. That’s where the riches still lie
Dallas traded for Granlund and Ceci because they have a bunch of injuries: Heiskanen, Seguin, Marchment. And Lundqvist on D.

Their defence is surprisingly weak so adding Ceci gives them a good top 4 but their bottom pairing depth is pretty bad.

What are the Nucks doing? These trades are like me on tilt trading all my fantasy football players lol
They are looking more like Calgary than the Panthers. I kinda feel for the Canadians teams but they have done it to themselves. They need to modernize. The game is moving on.

Unfortunately the Isles and Rongos are both playing much better. They're a long way back from us but I could see the Rongos pushing for Metro 3 by end of the season. Isles might not be able to keep winning enough to snag a wildcard spot

Miller is only going to make the Rags better (and he already has, which sucks).

Rantanen SHOULD be a no brainer to make the Canes better but they are a weird team - mostly I think because of Brindamour. Rantanen probably got to just play his own way with the Avs. No way he'll be doing that for Rod the Bod. Could be a challenging adjustment.

Rongos are not going to make metro 3 -- ten points is a whole lot. Devils and Carolina are both I think maybe not as good as their reputation but they are certainly a cut above the Rongos and the rest of the muck fighting for the WCs

Caps have the Bruins 2nd and Pens have the Rangers 1st,, I’m kind of rooting for the Rangers a little so Pittsburgh has a worse pick
Yeah, this is a conundrum I was thinking about today. I hate the Rags. So losing is fun for them. BUT, lose too much, and the Pens may get their 1st in 26 which is seemingly a better/deeper draft, and who know how bad the Rags could implode?

I hate the Rags, but I really hate the Pens. So…. I hope the Rags finish one spot OUT of the playoffs, and the Pens pick 16th OA.

So everyone loses

Ceci stinks though. And yes I know they are injured. I like Granlund too…..Ceci, not so much.
