Absolutely brutal high stick by Malkin on Konecny. NHL needs to allow players the ability to protect their full face as visors do not. Or are they going to wait till a player goes blind and files a lawsuit?

Zemgus Girgensons wore one for Buffalo for a few weeks. I always assumed it was a player's decision.

Is it not the player's decision to wear a visor?
Ya but visor only offers some protection. Visor or no visor he was still almost blinded by Malkin's stick

Face cages are allowed in lower leagues but not in NHL

depends on if your grandfathered in.

and to answer op question, nhl already lets players use cage helmets

Ok was not aware of that. I knew players used them when coming back from facial injuries but I was not aware cage use were restricted to that. I always assumed it was their decision to wear visors over cages.

They would lose that lawsuit.

Players don’t even want to wear visors because of vision, good luck getting them to wear cages.

You should start a petition. Link it to HFBOARDS and we will rally behind you.
It would finally give this forum the exposure and fame that we deserve.
