I mean this isn't a surprise right? I actually posted this when he signed his last extension:


His contract ends after the 2027 season when he'll be 75, did anyone think he'd be extending? Daly will be 63 in 2027 so I imagine they'll go to someone younger than him?

Ushered in the best cap system in NA pro sports and somehow preserved endless playoff OT.

He had some failures too, but I'm thankful for those two big wins.
 
Presume Bill Daly is the favorite to step up to the plate—but are there any realistic alternatives that anyone thinks could make a play for the role?

I would be interested to see someone from outside hockey.
