I've made a spreadsheet that includes even strength (5v5) player ratings for each individual NHL skater. The rating is based on statistics like goals, primary assists, secondary assists, relative +/-, quality of competition, flow (Off zone start: off zone finish ratio, converted into a +/- value) and even strength TOI. I just wanted to know what you guys think based on the Leafs ratings and the rest of the NHL. ***Only includes 5v5 Statistics***
Statistic Explanations:
Goals 5v5 (G): The number of even strength goals a player has scored throughout the duration of the regular season.
Primary Assists 5v5 (A1): The number of first assists a player has accumulated throughout the duration of the regular season (Valued at 67% compared to a goal).
Secondary Assists 5v5 (A2): The number of second assists a player has accumulated throughout the duration of the regular season (Valued at 33% compared to goal).
Relative Plus/Minus (+/-): On-Ice Plus-Minus minus Off-Ice Plus-Minus. This is expressed as a rate stat per 60 minutes.
Quality of Competition (Qoc): The Average Relative Plus-Minus of opposing players, weighted by head-to-head ice time.
Flow: Offensive Zone finish % divided by offensive zone start %, then multiplied by 100, and then subtracted by 100 resulting in a more easily measurable plus/minus value.
Even strength TOI (TOI/60): Minutes of 5v5 ice time per game.
