I don’t know if that testing change is a good idea. Asymptomatic players can still pass it on but don’t know if it even matters anymore.

Calgary Flames AGM Chris Snow was diagnosed with ALS in 2019 and given 6-9 months to live (this is familial ALS, dad, uncle and others didn't live more than 18 months after diagnosis). Experimental treatment (spinal tap every month) giving him hope.

He's very lucky in the sense that his familial type is one of the few that actually has a somewhat reliable treatment that actually does prolong life. What a great story, hopefully that treatment gives him as much time as possible.
