It’s probably obvious, but the teams that are in the bottom half of the standings this and previous years have poor attendance compared to the ones that are playing well and expected to get into the playoffs. That’s probably why winning is important to the Sharks organization.

Calgary Flames AGM Chris Snow was diagnosed with ALS in 2019 and given 6-9 months to live (this is familial ALS, dad, uncle and others didn't live more than 18 months after diagnosis). Experimental treatment (spinal tap every month) giving him hope.

Calgary Flames AGM Chris Snow was diagnosed with ALS in 2019 and given 6-9 months to live (this is familial ALS, dad, uncle and others didn't live more than 18 months after diagnosis). Experimental treatment (spinal tap every month) giving him hope.

He's very lucky in the sense that his familial type is one of the few that actually has a somewhat reliable treatment that actually does prolong life. What a great story, hopefully that treatment gives him as much time as possible.
