Unsure whether to follow Jojo's lead into the very thin screenwriter category or forge my own way into the high quantity, low quality world of horror movie monsters, I researched both and found I have 3 screenwriter options that I am stuck on. Hopefully if one gets sniped from me before it comes around the horn, my decision will be that much easier.

We start the day with @Beef Invictus on the clock with a pair (phrasing) and the solemn obligation to give me his rival at some point. @pit is on deck, @JojoTheWhale is on the lido deck, and the original supreme moron, Milord Defect, is on the lido afterdeck.

Like all the people who come from a theater background, she was taught to PROJECT. The theater is a fixed distance from the audience - there are no zoom ins, etc. - so the people on stage need to reach the people in the back row. They have to walk a tightrope between reaching those lengths with emotion without looking like spastics to the people in the front row.
I'm sure Laura f***ing Linney does a fine job of managing that balance in the theater. The thing is, almost no one can turn that shit completely off when they get in front of a camera. In film or on TV, she doesn't just inhabit a role - she POSSESSES it. This may sound like an unfair distinction, but think about demonic possession for a second. Do those f***ing creeps look and sound natural and move naturally? They don't, right? Everything is jerky and unnatural. That's what happens when an acTOR gets inside a part. They can't just look at something - they TURN A PIERCING GAZE on it. They can't just say something - they absolutely must PROCLAIM it. And I'll tell you something else - they are completely full of shit as human beings. All actors are phonies, this is not a secret - they are empty vessels for writers to fill with words and for directors to move around. But acTORS are especially vapid. They laugh too loudly at nothing, especially their own lame "jokes," and just in general, there is no "there" there. They are the Vegas of human beings. I always imagine them when they are at home just sitting in a hard-backed chair staring at a blank spot in the corner of their kitchen ceiling until their phone rings with an offer for work.
And here's the thing. Wendy Byrde is a piece of shit, right? She always has been. She's cold and vicious and so f***ing shrill. Just a horror show. But I have the feeling that the Wendy Byrde on the page is about 25% as evil as the Wendy Byrde POSSESSED by Laura f***ing Linney. The Wendy Byrde that curdles your brain fluids is the Laura f***ing Linney portion of Wendy Byrde staring out of her eyes from Hell. If she had been played by, say, Mira Sorvino, for example, I bet you anything that we would all love her no matter what she did.
