If we have to skip @Hollywood Cannon and go to @BernieParent to get this thing operational......it is what it is.

It's ironic in an Alanis Morrissette way that the owners of the Halifax Galleons have had months to craft the perfect picks for their remaining categories, and yet here we are pulling something out of our ... ears.

We did, once upon a time, do some research on this, so we aren't completely caught off guard. We will select, for our Franchise Haunted House, a residence that is pretty famous in its own right. We select the White House.

Presidents, first ladies, White House staff members and guests have reported feeling ghostly presences, hearing unexplained noises and even running into actual apparitions—even on the way out of the bathtub, in one particularly famous case.

Ghost sightings of several ex-Presidents have been reported, including Andrew Jackson, Harry S. Truman, and Abraham Lincoln. Lady Mary Todd Lincoln–who believed strongly in the occult, and reportedly held séances in the White House to commune with the spirits of her dead sons–told friends she had heard Jackson stomping and swearing through the halls of the presidential residence. The Rose Room, Jackson’s bedchamber while he was president, is believed by some to be one of the most haunted rooms in the White House. Several occupants of the White House, including Calvin Coolidge's wife Grace and Lady Bird Johnson, have reported seeing the ghost of Abraham Lincoln.

Other ghosts purported to occupy the White House include Abigail Adams (John Adams' wife) and David Burns. Mrs. Adams' ghost, clad in a cap and lace shawl, has reportedly been seen heading towards the East Room, arms outstretched as if carrying laundry. Mr. Burns was famous for having sold the government most of the land on which the city of Washington—including the presidential residence—was built.

We have waited a long time to pass the pick to @Rebels57, @Hollywood Cannon, or whoever else may be up.

I actually thought we had finished the phase and were just waiting for straggler picks. I totally forgot I even still had three picks to make in this round.
