The Plats are both psyched and a little meh about this pick because we don't love the idea of triple dipping, but boy recent events sure swayed us.
Freya, Norse goddess of love, beauty, war, magic, and other glorious things. Freya is the most powerful witch the gods have ever seen, conjuring hexes and spells of all kinds, drawing on the mystical ingredients of the nine realms.
I will not get in to spoilers. But rest assured, this is a great pick
GOAT game, honestly. No lie. It's absolutely nuts just how f***ing good this reboot isI just started this. Very early in, huge fan so far.
Funny, I thought I picked her too. Had to double check...not spreadsheeted so never happenedHuh, thought Freya had been picked in a different phase, but apparently not...
Im pretty sure bill Murray player Freya in a movie once, so it should default back to me.Funny, I thought I picked her too. Had to double check...not spreadsheeted so never happened
Ancient India for ancient civ. Not that I actually know anything about it but I saved this category for the end for a reason.

You took this because the Beatles used a sitar in a song or two.Ancient India for ancient civ. Not that I actually know anything about it but I saved this category for the end for a reason.

That purpose being making whomever is wearing it a really, really slow target?Team Retro Clothing Item - Knight Armor
If I have to pick old shit, I'm picking old shit that can serve a purpose.
I took this because it was the only "main" civilization I could find that hadn't been picked, and everything else I could think of was a city within a location that was already takenYou took this because the Beatles used a sitar in a song or two.

Who knows, might even f*** around and start a new crusade.
Yeah, I know. Sorry it took a few minutes, just had to pull something out of my ass real quick since I did zero pre-planningJust making sure you know you have one more to pick.

Let me pick on the kid in peace.False! Even full plate armor is really light, and it was distributed very ergonomically. A full set weighed an average of like 50 pounds, which is a hell of a lot less than soldiers today are running around with...and it isn't distributed nearly as ergonomically these days. Modern infantry can be running around and fighting with over twice that weight. Plate armor was also completely flexible, so range of motion wasn't impacted. Plus, knights trained with this stuff. End result is that they'd be covered in steel, mostly impervious to harm, and just as fast and capable as if they were unarmored. You're not outrunning or outmaneuvering them.
The myth that armor was so unwieldy that its wearers were slow or couldn't mount their own steeds comes from tournament armor. Jousting for sport was such a controlled environment that it was fine to just load up with a shitload of armor to make sure you were safe. That stuff limited motion in specific ways, and was very heavy. But you'd be a simpleton to wear it in combat or out and about.
