Nothing. I hadn’t even used it in a few days.

Turned in on, entered some info on an excel spreadsheet and watched a YouTube video. Noticed it was really slow and kept freezing.

Turned it off, turned it on the next day, even worse. Froze. Turned it on, tried to do some possible fixes but it froze in the middle of them.

Turned it off, turned it back on and I couldn’t even open the task manager before it froze.

Turned it off, turned it back on, and it froze when it put in my password.

So I gave up and have someone looking at it tomorrow.

I’m not touching anything.
Stop downloading aim bots for csgo and looking on shady websites for discounted knives.

Your aimbots had viruses.

@mja, now that I got that out of my system, we regret to inform you that David Lo Pan is already a Stay Puft.

f*** me, you're right.

Fine, let's make it Egg Shen then.

@pit, you may now proceed. For real this time.

Let's keep it simple and go with what Ken Poggenburg has to say about our pick for Team Element: Carbon.

"My favorite element is carbon. In its pure elemental state it can take a variety of forms, from unstructured charcoal powder used for purification filters, to graphite used for pencils and lubrication, amazing single-atom thick graphene sheets and spherical bucky-balls, and the beautiful translucent diamond crystal. And that’s before we look at all the thousands of compounds it forms with other elements, making up all the organic molecules that make life possible on Earth."

Who is Ken Poggenburg? Well, most importantly he's the guy who saved me time in having to do my own write-up. He's some guy I found in an article. I don't wholly know. But, in short, you don't have life without carbon so I'm choosing life.

How do I go from @mja to @Lord Defect ? That's sick (boy).

I can't see what I'm typing, because of the glare, so if this is full of mistakes just make up your own morning thoughts in your head.

We start the day with @Young Sandwich on the clock, @JojoTheWhale on deck, @BernieParent on the lido deck, and ajgoal on the lido afterdeck. Thankfully, Milord finished his pick and we won't have to deal with him again for a while unless we go in the menu thread, where he will probably be making more random picks at random times.

You know what I was thinking? The true recluse life would involve me cutting out the internet. This intermediate step of cutting out contact with real people in the real world is all well and good, better than having to deal with all of that shit, but here's the problem: FOX is still broadcasting the World Cup. I can't just sit here with the sound muted like some weird Canadian freak living in silence in the Pacific Northwest. What am I, a homeless alien eating outer space dog food out of alien cans? I'm not a homeless alien eating outer space dog food out of alien cans, actually, so I have to have sound. And I can't. These f***ers keep saying "WORLD Cup," with emphasis on the "World." The f***? I can't stress enough how f***ing completely f***ed this is. A couple of these losers spent years in Europe, where no one - NOT A SINGLE PERSON IN ANY LANGUAGE WHICH HAS EVER EXISTED - has pronounced it that way. And that is the very small tip of a very, very large iceberg. I can't just sit here absorbing all this silently without venting - I'd f***ing explode. I f***ing explode over things that are 0.00001% as f***ed as that - and the only way I have to vent is on the internet. And I hate myself for it, because I don't want to even acknowledge that these c***s exist, because they don't deserve it. They are nothing. It's a real problem, and it's going to last for a whole f***ing month basically non-stop. F***.

The fact that every three or four days I have to stare at the melted, deformed visage of the Bojack Trojan Horseman doesn't help, either.

I'm only asking this because I'm interested: is this not normal? The city doesn't move

It's interesting that the urban collapse of the west didn't bring a shift in economic centers. For example Aachen was the capital of the Frankish empire, but it just didn't have as many highway connections as Paris. The political and cultural clout of being at the center of power couldn't compete with those residual pathways.

London is another city that crumbled hard. But so many converging pathways made its re-emergence inevitable, rather than Winchester.

I could have gone various different vulgar routes here, but those books can't really be considered children's books now can they? This book absolutely rules, and so does the animated short film they made for it.

"But who is this creature with terrible claws and terrible teeth in his terrible jaws? He has knobbly knees, and turned-out toes, and a poisonous wart at the end of his nose. His eyes are orange, his tongue is black, he has purple prickles all over his back."

There's a sequel

Phew. I am thankful to be going early in this one.

Traditional Cartoonists need a specific wit that allows them to lampoon larger ideas in a small number of panels. What it turns out is not required is the ability to draw particularly well. Combining that with a background in hard sciences and an unrelenting determination to be Chaotic Good gives you the only possible M.A.D. Cat in this category, Randall Munroe.

@BernieParent I want to tell you about a girl who only eats plants. You've probably never heard of herbivore.
