  • HFBoards is doing server maintenance Thursday March 13th at 9 AM GMT 5 AM EDT. Downtime is to be expected during the process. Server changes were implemented recently to cope with the traffic surge last week. This seems to be affecting the user login, so please anyone experiencing this, log out and clear the browser cache. We expect to have this issue solved once the maintenance is complete.
  • We are currently aware of "log in/security error" issues that are affecting some users. We apologize and ask for your patience as we try to get these issues fixed.
It's not a bad idea if you cut out some of the bullshit before the actual resurfacing.

Only about half of the intermission is resurfacing. The other half is random "Games" used as a mask for a sponsorship plug.

But where will I be able to see fans tear their ACLs fighting each other inside big zorb balls if they shorted intermission? ☹️

ABC weekend numbers?

Yeah, I think I mentioned earlier this season that this season I'm at having access to Nielsen numbers for the daily Top-100 (used to be 150) on cable and daily primetime only on broadcast. As well as once a week full cable numbers. Frequently delayed, as happens more and more.

So I don't get to see any numbers for daytime or weekend afternoon sports on broadcast. I have to ask directly, which I don't like to do, or just wait until PR or (SMW) Jon or Braylon asks, gets and posts them.

There was some kind of Nielsen issue yesterday, usually would get all the info in the morning, instead sports #'s appeared via various sources in the afternoon, night and this morning. The Top-100 I got hours later than usual last night.

So figured Nielsen delay, but since still haven't seen them anyway, I asked and was told that the Nielsen list they got didn't even have the NHL on ABC games listed. So that at least explains why we haven't seen it yet. Hopefully tonight, or tomorrow.

^ - That ended the streak of every "ABC Hockey Saturday" this season having at least one game of 1.0M+ average viewership at six.

Now 6 of 7 have achieved at least one 1.0M+ game.
Not super surprised. A bland Flyers-Kraken matchup and a completely gutted, seller Bruins vs Lightning

Yeah, when the national broadcast schedule was released all of us pointed to the Kraken-Flyers game. That # was entirely predictable (FWIW Kraken-Stars on ABC last season did 584k, so at least Kraken on ABC games are consistent, ha.) Ridiculous scheduling.

That as the lead-in didn't help but also was immediately post-trade deadline (less than 24 hours later) as you alluded to.

I had said on X post-trade deadline, night in advance of the game: "I'd still pencil in 1.1M [what that window had been doing] though obviously wouldn't project much of a lead-in which could knock it down to 1.0M."

Was off a couple 100k-plus. I'd say it was a little of both, post-trade deadline and lead-in knocking it down a bit more than I estimated.
