Aren't we kind of doing that any while bargain bin shopping?
I mean bargain bin shopping is what we have to do with the cap restraints we have. But actively getting rid of good players to replace them with older worse ones that won't save much cap doesn't make any sense.

Very curious on what we do for the bottom pairing D. Malinski might be good enough for 6RD, i wouldnt hate it. But that requires at least a stud LHD partner.

TJ brodie might be the ideal 6th D who can play just as well on both sides and had a reputation for being a great skater. Could shelter either Malinski or Behrens who ever is better.
