So if I'm reading the tea leaves right:

- Avs wanted a cost controlled RHD for Colton
- Teams know Avs want to extend Drouin and are only offering to take Colton for basically free
- Avs aren't willing to give away Colton for just cap space and are going to lose Drouin because of it

He's 34. I know he was good in the playoffs last year but the big drop-off can happen any second now. If they get just one good year out of him they are lucky.
Hasn't happened so far.

Obviously huge risk to be had with a guy like that who was horribly injury prone even in his prime, but this is one Treliving move that I don't think is necessarily a bad one. And I am NO fan of Treliving as a GM.

Do you think if we all pretend to be Stars fans for today.. then the Stars will make really bad moves and the Avs will improve? Because that's how it feels to be an Avs fan right now
