Well, the team and organization has certainly earned it with success.

The fans, however, will be undeserving until the technology exists so the majority of our youth skate year-round on southern california ponds like Lake Arrowhead, Big Bear, and Lake Perris, and even the La Brea Tar Pits...and until we invent time travel so we can close the 50-year existence gap between the Kings and the original NHL teams. AND we have to make hockey the #1 sport in the entertainment capital of the world. Until then, the allstar game truly belongs in a real hockey market(tm), but good on the Kings organization for classlessly usurping authority and engineering back-door deals to acquire this silly exhibition for our proud but unworthy city of bandwagoners.

I had tickets to the skills comp. and ASG last time it was here, I think they cost me $80 or so each. I traded someone both sets for skills comp. tickets 3 rows up in the corner, I had a great view that night. I bought tix for the ASG the next day for $30 each.

There was zero demand for it. The scalpers were just all standing around, there wasn't anyone looking for tickets. I wonder if it will be different this time around.
