League measures D versus other D and Forward versus other Forwards so League Averages will be different as I publish the forward data.

As I've noted in a few posts earlier, Burns '21-'22 year was off the charts good and stats wise, elite versus the League's Defensemen.

21'-22
Skating:

Top Skating Speed at 94% with Bursts 22+, 20-22, 18-20 at 67%-75%-85% respectively
Overall Skating Distance at 96% and Even Strength Distance at 93%

Shooting:
Shot Speed: Avg., 100+, 90-100mph, 80-90mph, 70-80mph was 85%-95%-76%-99%-99% respectively
High Danger Shots at 98%

Goals:
18 goals & 98%' high danger goals of 4 yielded a 94% ranking

2024-25 to-date:
This year he has fallen greatly with skating speed categories ranging from Below 50 on several to a Burst Category at 56 and 68% on lower speed groupings.

His shot speed has declined from a peak over 100 in '21-'22 to 89.76 this year (52%), Average Shot Speed is still good because he still ranks well in the slower 80-90 and 70-80 groupings (97% & 98%).

Also, his shot % is now grouped as Below 50 whereas 2 years ago he was at 82%.

Slavin:
Slavin has continued his consistent play this year always ranking in the high 70's to as high as 97%. What is interesting is that his work load (perhaps due to Burns falloff team is playing them less) has lessened and he is now at an overall rating distance of 81% and Even Skating Distance of 79% compared to the League versus 90% and 86% in 21-22.

He also had a very high top speed shot.....it's too bad he doesn't use it much.

Orlov:
Orlov's numbers surprised me as my eyes said he had decent speed but yet his speed measurements this year are meh with most categories in the 50's except for the 18-20mph burst category of 73% versus the League. Guy has a rocket of a shot with a top shot speed consistently reaching over a 100mph over each of the last 4 years. I'm surprised he doesn't get any PP run (particularly when Ghost was hurt) but given his & Chatfield's step up in playing distance perhaps that was a bridge too far.

Chatfield:
Chatfield's skating distance has jumped Y/yr which makes sense given the exits of Pesce and Skjei. His top skating speed is down a lot (maybe that early season injury against the boards in warmups or perhaps more playing time has toned it down) versus last year (92% League to 78%) but his burst speeds frequency below the top category is holding in 90's and 80's respectively. Chatty doesn't have a good shot and it shows statistically with 3 category groupings below 50% and only the slowest category 70-80mph at 92% (I wonder what the scoring % is at that shot speed and each speed category?)

Walker:
Walker may not exhibit to the eye the same speed as Chatfield but what I found interesting is that his speed profile is among the League's best with this year's top speed at 89% and each of the burst categories showcasing at 89% or higher (20-22 at 93%). I can understand why the team wanted him as the "speed guy" to the 3rd pairing similar to what Chatty was last year and continues for this year with Orlov. His shooting is sub-par ranking below 50 in may categories.

Ghost:
Ghost is not an overall good skater and as noted the pairing with Walker makes sense; his shot is his differentiator and although skating is below 50 in several categories, his shot % ranks him very high.

btw: if anyone wants an excel file copy, please advise. PDF now attached for a better view of each individual.
