Are there any GMs as dumb or dumber than Don Sweeney ahead of us though? It will take a Sweeney outsmarting himself for us to get one of the six potential franchise players in this draft. More likely we are going to get a big body project.

I’ve seen other GM’s make stupid picks. Go look at the 2016 draft. McAvoy fell in the Bruins lap at 14.

I'm not even mad lol. Have a sneaking suspicion that outside of the top 2, this could be a wide open draft with some surprises thrown in. Kids like Martin, Mrtka & even Smith might very well hold more value w/ some teams than we care to admit.

At least the Mammoth and Islanders CANNOT win the NHL Lottery next year. I personally hope both finish 30th and 31st and have 0% chance of getting McKenna next year. Really throws the odds out the door for those two if they finish bottom five.
